In addition our team members develop strong personal networks of the SAP experts and get exposure to key stakeholders

 

We are now hiring another Solution Lead and Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for Market Unit Netherlands!

 

PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

The Solutioning Centre EMEA North aims to make selling easier and successful, while focuses on supporting the bid process by solutioning and estimating the services effort required throughout the customer and application lifecycle for the SAP solutions. We practice a pragmatic approach to the solutioning and estimating to support Cloud Success Services proposals, by ensuring the strategic and most relevant solutions are validated against the customer’s requirements and needs for their transformation to the cloud and to become intelligent enterprises.

 

One of our key focuses is to promote the best adoption of the SAP accelerators and implementation methodology to fast-track customer implementations, ensure end user adoption and consumption and later expand the usage, whether Service Implementation Partner primed, co-primed or SAP primed. Our team is spread across 5 Market Units in EMEA North – UKI, BeLux, France, Nordics and the Netherlands and we thus expect flexibility to travel to the required locations where necessary. However, much of the work we conduct can also be conducted remotely from the colleague’s assigned office or through remote working. Our ethos is to allow flexibility in working patterns so our team can support our internal customers in an agile and timely manner. Hence, we require some flexibility and adaptability to the demands of the job, as often these are under time pressure.The team comprises of core team members who report into the Head of Solutioning Centre EMEA North, plus colleagues from other teams that work within the Solutioning Centre on a rotational basis. For each Market Unit one of the Solution Leads are appointed as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC).

 

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

For this Job Profile we are seeking a Solution Lead that either directly or in due time, also will act as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for Market Unit Netherlands, within the Solutioning Centre EMEA North. Depending on the demand from Market Unit Netherlands, it is expected that the time will be split into 50/50 between Solution Lead and SPOC.

 

A Solution Lead is a highly experienced solution architect with a deep functional focus, good understanding of SAP strategy and wide portfolio and an adaptive but structured nature who can independently manage the full solutioning process from launch to proposal delivery. Furthermore, a Solution Lead has/establishes a good network in the Market Unit, Region and Success Delivery Centers and actively working to expand it. Their key tasks and responsibilities will include:

 

  • Orchestrating and managing the overall solutioning process including the planning and approach
  • Identifying and coordinating the experts necessary to provide the required input into the solutioning process
  • Ensuring the integration and consistency of the overall proposed architecture, usage of  license BOM components and the use of accelerators and premium engagement services
  • Consolidating the overall scope content and estimates and ensuring delivery commitment and quality reviews have been obtained
  • Initiating and completing all end of deal processes incl. handover to the delivery team/s.

 

A Single Point of Contact (SPOC) is a highly experienced solution expert with deep implementation and team lead experience who has the tenacity to manage chaotic situations whilst bring multiple teams together to achieve a singular, common goal. The SPOC can interact with sales and delivery teams. Their key tasks and responsibilities will include:

 

  • Monitoring and aligning on account plans/ pipelines with sales teams (Market Unit – Service Account Managers, Account Executives and Bid Office)
  • Supporting deal qualification in Deal Qualification Boards and as pre-qualification
  • Support validation of business needs and expected outcomes with customers, as required
  • Sourcing and assigning the best solutioning team to support the bid
  • Including the specific market unit requirements against pre-defined Solutioning Center templates
  • Building a bridge between our own internal SAP stakeholders to deliver the best solutions for our customers
  • Represent Solutioning Center on bid councils.

 

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

This role is pivotal in the solutioning process that drives the development of winning proposals for our customers in a timely manner. To support this, we seek individuals with a strong track record of SAP implementations and adoption (cloud preferable), anexperienced solution architect/ consultant who is flexible, self-driven, pragmatic and result oriented. It is also important in this role to have a team lead profile and good communication skills. Below you will find the specific skills we seek:

 

Required skills:

  • Must have expert ‘hands on’ SAP (preferable cloud) functional knowledge, and good understanding of SAP portfolio. 
  • Strong communications skill (Dutch and English) with the ability to effectively collaborate and engage with all teams involved in the solutioning cycle
  • Must have a solid understanding of the latest SAP applications and solutions within their focused functional domain and a clear view of the overall SAP architecture and integration components
  • Team management experience is essential with excellent organization and time management skills
  • Must be able to work across functional domains, even when this is not their core skill area.

 

Work experience:

  • At least 10 years’ experience of architectural, functional business process design, implementation, and adoption of SAP solutions
  • Hands on configuration experience in the core components of their functional area of expertise, including a solid understanding of the changes to those core components within Cloud solutions and S/4 HANA
  • At least 2-4 full lifecycle SAP implementations in the capacity of an expert consultant and/ or workstream lead
  • Good understanding and knowledge of the associated modules/ functions to their core skill area.
