PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

 

SAP North America Regional Digital Supply Chain (DSC) Center of Excellence (COE) is responsible for demand generation and sales support for revenues for SAP DSC solutions for organizations in North America. These solutions cover the business needs of SAP customers within the R&D/Engineering, Supply Chain Planning, Manufacturing, Asset Management, Logistics and broad Supply Chain line of businesses.

 

As the global pandemic wreaks economic turmoil around the world, modern supply chains face unprecedented challenges and are drawing an increased level of scrutiny. The supply chain is now the main protagonist everywhere and has transitioned from being a “behind-the-scenes” organizational function to a differentiator for an enterprise. SAP helps businesses run a resilient, sustainable supply chain. 

 

We’re seeking a qualified Solution Specialist to expand our footprint through discovery and exploration of new and untapped business opportunities and relationships within Digital Supply Chain. 

 

Secondly, the employee is responsible for presenting the business value of the SAP DSC solutions including, but not limited to: Supply Chain Planning, Manufacturing, Product Lifecycle Management, Operations and Environmental Health & Safety.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

 

  • Generate new opportunities, action existing opportunities sourced from sales teams, and develop relationships in identified accounts to progress opportunities and drive sales
  • Contact identified decision-makers to qualify potential business opportunities
  • Engage with senior executives at customers to drive sales of SAP DSC solutions for both on-premise & cloud deployments
  •       Inspire business leaders to expand their thinking on broader end-to-end business  processes that make up the span of control across the supply chain
  •       Provide thought leadership in problem solving customer challenges, for example by articulating unique application of SAP Industry Cloud and Business Network as differentiators
  • Meet regularly with SAP sales management to drive development of new business strategies based on market analysis & current trends in Digital Supply Chain 
  • Business plan development, documentation, and communication
  • Present SAP DSC solutions capabilities, value proposition, key differentiators at senior executive levels and large audiences
  • Make use of best practices to create repeatable processes and content
  • Support stand-alone sales opportunities for SAP DSC solutions to a ‘select’ stage

 

Work Experience, Skills & Competencies

 

  • 5+ years of professional experience with large, multi-national software/IT organizations and with a demonstrated expertise in DSC solutions
  • Experience with business development, relationship building, opportunity discovery/development, opportunity qualification, pipeline development by working with solutions team
  • Self-starter, "Execution spirit" and entrepreneurial nature with a passion for new products and solutions; high level of energy and self-motivated
  • Strong organizational talents and ability to work under pressure and in new environments
  • Exceptional organizational, communication and presentation skills, and ability to express nontechnical concepts clearly and concisely to meet goals and set priorities
  • Strong business acumen
  • Strong teamwork skills: ability to work across multiple organizations to ensure alignment to ultimately win the deal
  • Ability to leverage experience working with line of business leaders and stakeholders to successfully contact and build rapport based on domain knowledge and demonstrated business acumen

 

 

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATION

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Computer Science, Business Administration, Information Systems or a related field of study
  • Fluency in English, any other language an asset
