Overview:

Seeking a Sr. Director of Marketing Operations, reporting to the VP, Global Demand Center supporting SAP Ariba and SAP Fieldglass.  You are a leader that wants to build, grow and make an impact. 
 This role is responsible for strategic and operational planning, goal setting, financial operations, and demand activation that is aligned with sales, and our global & regional marketing teams.  You excel at cross-team collaboration, work well with ambiguity, and have a history of solving tough problems in complex environments; as well as demonstrating leadership, influence, and impact skills. Your deep business insight, passion for process improvement, and strong analytical skills will contribute to your success in delivering actionable plans that maximize our marketing investments in contributing to company growth.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Operationalizes the strategy by leading global marketing planning process and goal setting. Ensure alignment with sales and business objectives while driving coordination across Marketing teams.
  • Coordinates budget strategy and allocation of budget aligned with strategic priorities, marketing plans, and industry benchmarks.
  • Leads financial operations across the entire marketing organization to effectively manage program spend including partnering with procurement on agency strategy and cost optimization efforts.
  • Develop, maintain, and distribute dashboards and campaign measurement as well as general marketing intelligence, ad hoc queries, and reporting to demonstrate marketing’s impact across the Buyer and Customer Journey.  Provide recommendations to all levels of the marketing organization.
  • Lead monthly Operational Reviews with our Regional Marketing teams that effectively align our Marketing Calendar, lead management process, and key metric performance
  • Provides strategic and operational advice and consultation to the Marketing Leadership Team (MLT)
  • Conducts benchmarking and leverages best practices to advance our Marketing Ops Practice and optimize our global Marketing investments, operating model, and performance
  • Lead global projects in support of marketing goals including transformational activities and strategic imperatives
  • Act as the liaison with the technology management organization to ensure that the right technology is selected and implemented in a timely manner
  • Attracts and retains top talent; coaches and develops global team of seven to achieve clearly defined goals and expectations

 

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business or marketing preferred; MBA a plus
  • 7+ years’ experience in a marketing operations and performance management. 3+ years in team management within a medium to large size Technology Company.
  • Expert understanding of the lead-to-sales funnel and demand generation.
  • Ability to translate business objectives into operational requirements.
  • Ability to translate quantitative data into actionable recommendations.
  • Strong communications skills and an ability to adapt to audience needs across the organization.
  • Results-driven individual with exceptional analytical and reporting skills. Quantitative data analysis of program effectiveness, forecasting, and ROI
  • Working knowledge of marketing automation, CRM systems, digital tools.
  • Proven to build and leading strong direct and virtual teams.
