About the team

We are looking for a university intern to support the SAP Partner Demand Acceleration Team in a variety of tasks to ensure delivery of masterful partner experience on SAP’s premier demand generation platform. The intern will gain an understanding of SAP’s business and customers, as well as learn more about the marketing and demand generation functions, and how to effectively operate in a corporate environment.


SAP Partner Demand Acceleration helps partners succeed through high impact marketing and selling.  We provide a comprehensive portfolio of programs and resources to help SAP’s business partners of all types around the World effectively market, enhance skills, expand brand, execute with ease, generate demand, build pipeline, sell, and grow their business.


What you’ll do:

Position title: SAP iXp Intern – Partner Demand Acceleration Workshops | Global Ecosystem and Midmarket Marketing

Location: Atlanta, GA – please note that roles will be remote until local guidelines ensure safe office reopenings. Can be amenable for any candidates within the US for a remote internship

Expected start date to end date: November 2021 – May 2022


In this role, you’ll:

The intern will become a crucial part of the Global Partner Ecosystem and Midmarket Marketing Team during his/her 6 -month internship, which can be extended to 12 months at SAP’s sole discretion.


The Global Partner Demand Acceleration intern will support the organization’s development, planning, and promotion of the SAP Partner Demand Acceleration Programs with a particular focus on supporting the development and promotion of offerings in the Partner Reference Marketing and Selling area.  Resources offered in this area help our SAP partners to develop highly effective customer reference programs. These programs are a vital ingredient to SAP partners’ success in the cloud, which is a critical area of growth for our partners and SAP.


The candidate must have strong verbal communication and writing skills, ideally some project management experience and comfortable in communicating with executives. This person must be a self-starter with a desire and commitment to on-time delivery of key programs.


This is a highly collaborative, exciting, fast paced, hands-on role within SAP Global Marketing where you will work directly with the Vice President of Partner Demand Acceleration and collaborate across various teams including Partner Ecosystem Success, SAP Global Marketing (and in particular the Global Customer Reference team), and various regional teams.  You will be part of a dynamic team that is responsible for helping our partners transform their approach to marketing and selling.


Promote our reference marketing and selling resources

  • Directly promote our resources through communications initiatives including social media, newsletters, events, and other communications vehicles.
  • Engage with our global and regional partner management teams to encourage them to use our resources in their 2022 business planning efforts.


Continued resource development

  • Support the SAP Pinnacle Awards – Customer Success award process to identify partners that exemplify best/innovative reference marketing and selling practices
  • Engage with our agency to drive interviews with partners to learn more about their current practices and future directions, and gather feedback regarding the current program resources from SAP that they consider of highest priority and their additional resource needs.


Support quarterly reporting

  • Support quarterly reporting for leadership including tracking of partner participation in our programs and impact measurement.


Promotional and On-Demand Video production leveraging easy to use SAP or 3rd party tools eg Camtasia (access to on the job training will be provided)

  • Support scripting and production of short promotional videos
  • Light video editing (if no experience, can train on the job)

Skills / Competencies

  • Must be proficient with MS Office tools, heavy Excel knowledge required.  Technology-savvy.
  • Detail oriented, works well independently and cross-functionally
  • Functional skills in Microsoft Power Point, Excel and TEAMS
  • Ability to understand requirements, seek out answers, drill into details, and resolve issues
  • Good listening skills, ability to pull out and summarize information
  • Must be a team player and demonstrated high performer and willingness to take initiative
  • Good problem solver with high degree of self-initiative


Qualifying Requirements 

  • Senior in a 4-year degree program at an accredited university
  • Seeking degrees in Liberal Arts, Marketing, General Business, or Communications
  • Prior office experience
  • U.S. Citizen or possess green card
