SUMMARY

Application Management Consultant is responsible for assessing technical and functional issues and developing system solutions for the deployment and the ongoing support of Ariba cloud and on-premise based products and solutions.  This may include support of the customer throughout the life cycle of the customer engagement.

An understanding of core ERP business processes for any one area in Procurement, Supply chain, Order to Cash, Procure to Pay or Manufacturing is plus.

 

THE ROLE

  • Providing expert functional and technical support (L2 & L3) across Ariba cloud as well as on-premise solutions
  • Assessing customer systems and assist in system configuration
  • Designing custom solutions for integrating Ariba with multiple customer legacy systems
  • Planning and managing multiple customer projects and handling customer expectations effectively and efficiently
  • Issue / Status Tracking– Provides weekly updates and escalates critical issues to Team and Project management in a timely manner
  • Detailed planning of process implementation
  • Defining detailed blueprint for development requirements 
  • Being an advisor to customers throughout the engagement
  • Leading resolution of escalations
  • Supporting system optimization and performance
  • Taking project manager responsibility as required across one or more customer engagements
  • Should be willing to work in Rotational shifts
  • Ability to work in a multicultural environment and work across geographies

 

ROLE REQUIREMENT

  • Degree in Engineering (BE, B.Tech), MCA full time in any specialization
  • At least 5 years professional experience thereof two years as a Ariba consultant
  • Expert in at least one topic of SAP Ariba technology and good knowledge in at least one more
  • Good to have experience in SAP MM.
  • Has experience supporting customer production environments and resolving production tickets
  • Has experience with multiple deployments
  • Plans and reviews concepts and detailed blueprints of IT projects
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal, with a willingness to pick up the phone when email isn’t getting the job done
  • Understanding and exposure to EAI, Middleware, and other integration tools
  • Strong understanding of how document flow and data translation occurs between ERP systems specifically SAP
  • Knowledge of procurement operations and/or e-procurement tools
