The purpose of the Digital Supply Chain organization is to build global supply chain management (SCM) software and tools. These solutions help in getting customer-centric products to the market faster and at lesser costs.


SAP Integrated Business Planning (IBP) allows SAP customers around the world to meet future demand, profitably. Powered by SAP HANA in-memory technology, this public cloud-based solution combines sales and operations planning (S&OP), forecasting and demand, response and supply, demand-driven replenishment, and inventory planning. IBP offers powerful supply chain analytics, machine learning algorithms, what-if simulations, alerts, and more. Within our team, we practice a trust-based working model according to the scrum methodology.



As a Development Architect, you will be a vital contributor to the full software development lifecycle and assume responsibility for designing, implementing, and testing complete, end-to-end business processes. You will have to collaborate intensively with colleagues inside and outside the team; communicate and collaborate professionally with customers and partners. In your role you will have to define business and architectural concepts that are aligned with the team as well as other stakeholders. You will have to embrace responsibility for ensuring high quality in development and maintenance. Also, you will have to assume additional technical, organizational or coordination tasks or roles, as required.



  • Minimum 12+ years of working experience in software development (preferably IBP, ERP or S/4HANA) or a related area
  • Good to excellent bachelor or master’s degree in one of the following or related areas:
    Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Informatics, Mathematics, Engineering, Physics or Business Administration with a focus on Information Technology
  • Excellent programming skills and experience in:
    • ABAP Objects and SAP Fiori
    • SQL, HANA, HTML5 or Java Script
    • SAP development-related tools
  • Ability to lead and motivate others to work cohesively in a team
  • Proven skills in professional interaction with customers and partners
  • Ability to translate customer needs into technical requirements and vice versa
  • Agile software requirements engineering, test automation and scrum methodology
  • Strong analytical and logical skills
  • Experienced in working with global and virtual teams
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Prior success as an architect, software engineer, SAP subject matter expert or influencer on the direction of the product design and development
  • Experience with S/4HANA Cloud and developing in a cloud environment
  • Expertise in Production Planning or Logistics or Supply Chain Management is preferred

Over and above the technical skills mentioned above we are looking for strong problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail. You should have excellent written and oral communication skills together with good organizational and time management skills. Ability to work with global teams across different time zones is expected. Domain Knowledge on SAP’s Digital Supply Chain portfolio will be a plus.
