SUMMARY

Enterprise Cloud Services (ECS) is part of the Product Engineering board area and consists of SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud (HEC) and Cloud Application Services (CAS). As private cloud managed services provider, HEC Delivery is offering a key aspect in the intelligent business transformation journey of our customers and by joining forces with CAS, we enter a new era of end-to-end service experience for our customers 

One of SAPs largest customers has setup a transformation program called Journey to Cloud (J2C). A cornerstone of this transformation is to consume the entire SAP landscape as SaaS provided by SAP. Our Client Delivery Management team will provide an E2E service and will work dedicated for this customer, operating his entire SAP landscape with more than 80 productive systems and several of the largest HANA-based systems (e.g. 2x24TB ERP scale-out).   

Within the CDM organization we set up the Technical Service Management (TSM) team that handle all operational aspects. For this team we’re looking for an experienced technical consultant with a strong customer focus to become a Technical Landscape Owner.  

In your new role you will oversee all aspects of operation for environments with a focus of understanding and controlling dependencies. To provide the best customer experience for our customer, you will work on the optimization of our technical services and collaborate closely with all teams in the CDM organization. Beside your overall accountability for environments, your contribution in optimizing our processes will help the TLO team to become more efficient and effective.  

THE ROLE

  • Align on planning activities and system build processes, define Handover criteria and ensure operational readiness of the TSM team as pre-condition for any customer GoLive
  • Discuss and align with the Release Management on upcoming changes, initiate and control the implementation
  • Ensure high availability of customer service by supporting service restoration in critical situation 
  • Analyze and deep dive on issues including creation of RCAs as foundation for continuous improvement
  • Support of productization of services including, if required initial setup, documentation and standardization 
  • Drive automation of services and improvement of existing automation via close collaboration with CLM development as well as MCD Productization team 

ROLE REQUIREMENT

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in one of the following areas: Computer Science, Engineering, Information Management, Mathematics or comparable
  • 8+ years of experience as SAP Basis consultant / System Admin or in a similar role  
  • Background in SAP technology and products – especially excellent knowledge in SAP NetWeaver Administration and Operations and cross-dependencies like integration
  • Knowledge of the whole technology stack (Application, Database, Server management) and the ability to analyze issues and system architectures
  • Technical Expertise in SAP Installations and Upgrades in multi-regional environments
  • Ability to own and coordinate operational tasks, customer escalations, process improvements
  • Competency to take critical decisions and working under high pressure
  • Be a team player and able to inspire and energize team with strong technical, verbal and written communication skills
  • Flexibility to work on weekends/off hours during critical customer escalations, cut-overs or go-lives.
