THE ROLE
 

  • Develop tooling and processes to drive and improve customer, and SAP engineering experience
  • Deploy and manage Tools & Utilities to monitor and analyze large scale environments generating TBs of metrics/events
  • Automate and orchestrate workloads across multiple public cloud providers
  • Work with developers and operations teams with a focus on systems transparency and automating tools build/deployment
  • Create and support Build Automation utilities using Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Bash, Python and PowerShell
  • Manage highly available and scalable services leveraging open-source technologies.
  • Document and present tools and methodologies to operations, engineering, and executive teams
  • Lead and mentor a team of engineers delivering mission critical tooling

 

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

 

  • Good understanding of public cloud providers and hands-on experience on one or more of Azure, GCP or AWS
  • Working knowledge of monitoring tools like Zabbix, Splunk, ELK, CatchPoint etc.
  • Familiar with APM tools like Dynatrace, SignalFX, AppDynamics etc.
  • Knowledge of Linux and Windows Operating Systems and troubleshooting tools
  • Good with metric analysis and generating automated reports
  • Strong troubleshooting experience specific to compute performance and optimization to help drive TCO targets
  • Understanding of Cloud storage and DBAAS technologies
  • Strong Linux skills and Network understanding to troubleshoot and trace symptoms back to the root cause
  • Virtualization techniques, Storage and Compute concepts
  • Exposure to operational framework like ITIL/ITSM, Six Sigma
  • Experience with infrastructure automation solutions is a plus (Ansible, Chef, Puppet, etc.)
  • Experience managing Kubernetes and container-based workloads
