Summary

 

The Engineering Cross Functions (ECF) unit strives to ensure transformative program and quality management services along with testing, test automation, test tooling for in-time quality deliveries of the core of Intelligent Enterprise, the S/4HANA Cloud. ECF drives next-gen q-strategy, q-measures, release promises (by managing dependencies and guardrails), internal validation with inhouse tool(s) and its platform and reporting services to ensure customers leverage high quality S/4HANA Cloud services to generate business value. 
Within ECF, we have the S/4HANA Test Engineering (STE) unit which is a strong hub of expertise in Automation, Functional, Non-Functional and Process Tests, Jenkins & Docker Lifecycle tests, modern Tools as well as strategic topics such as 1S4HANA, Continuous Feature Delivery, Central Business Configuration for Quality and Program Management, to name a few. The Role

 

At ECF-STE, we seek an End-to-end Service owner (for SAP’s flagship SAAS solution, S/4HANA Cloud) who takes decisions like a PO, prepares and drivers like an Operational Expert with the context of customer success, across multiple streams starting from product management, architecture & engineering, implementation content & flow, cloud delivery and program management & cross functions. The individual aggregates the current gaps, defines/drives requirements, orchestrates RTC and takes in charge of provisioning and upgrade procedures including related SLAs for a new S/4HANA Cloud.

- Proven track record in a Product Owner / Service Owner or similar role

 

Role Requirements

 

•    12-16 years of total work experience
•    Solution Management / Product Management Ownership of service definition (which components belong in and how to prioritize in portfolio) not just decision taker like lead Product Owner, but also operational expert who prepares and drives the topic
•    Define how E2E provisioning procedure should feel like from customer perspective, should be aware of the SAP Activate process (e-mail, tool sequence, which component to be installed first, customer experience along ordering process), refine / drive Requirements where we see gaps
•    Understand the customer perspective and gaps in today's Provisioning & Upgrade experience for the entire customer system lifecycle 
•    Identify dependencies and define clear contracts between software components to drive requirements
•    Work closely with stakeholders to ensure system landscapes with all components are available for testing. Escalation handling as needed
•    From customer perspective orchestrate and take final decisions on upgrade / update processes (e.g., shall a system be handed over with content activation errors after upgrade or held back – past example w/o owner)
•    Orchestrate Release to Customer readiness plans for new components and ensuring a structured approach in assessments / joint developments along a realistic timeline
•    Orchestrating provisioning / update / consumption experience for customer-managed components part of S/4HANA Cloud service
•    Define customer relevant outcome based SLA’s which can be measure for each delivering software components. Work closely with delivering components to ensure SLA’s are followed
•    Drive from business perspective in alignment with architecture to get topics clarified such as cross-component backup / downtimes / maintenance processes upon need (contracts will work bi-lateral, further cross-guidance along entire service needed)
