S/4HANA PMCIE Product Master Development team is part of SAP’s Intelligent Enterprise Group. This team contributes to the master data offerings within SAP S/4HANA.


Product Master (Material Master from ECC edition) plays a prominent role in doing business, an organization secures, produces, or sells a variety of products or services. This is the core around which all business is conducted. A product can range from being a semiconductor device secured by a consumer-electronics company, to a web-series produced by a media house. Product Master data holds the key information about these products and defines how they participate in processes such as sales, procurement, planning, storage, accounting, and so on. In doing so, it becomes an essential enabler for many complex business processes. The Product Master Development team is responsible for the new generation Product Master application within SAP S/4HANA and works on the newest of development methodologies including Fiori, CDS, RESTful ABAP and Machine Learning.     


We are looking for a technical candidate who wants to grow into a User Assistance Expert role. A talented, goal oriented and proactive team player with excellent technical communication skills coupled with a willingness to take initiative and effectively apply the knowledge gained towards accomplishment of UA goals, to join our highly motivated team working in a fast-paced technical environment.


The Role

  • Create user assistance (UA) deliverables (both text and multimedia) in close collaboration with the development teams, UX designers, and other stakeholders to enable users to deploy, administer, and use the SAP software
  • Ensure that the UA deliverables are of high quality, adhere to standards and guidelines, and are written in appropriate style and tone for product and audience according to target group and target market
  • Define terminology that is simple, consistent, and conforms to industry standards
  • Proofread and edit UA and user interface (UI) content for usability, readability, and linguistic correctness
  • Give, receive, and implement feedback on all UA deliverables
  • Plan and coordinate the UA deliverables and milestones for a product area or a larger project in Central Master Data as applicable
  • Align with central S/4HANA UA Doc Leads for tasks and deliverables for the unit

What you bring
As Senior User Assistance Developer and Lead (m/f/d), you are the link between project teams, programs, development, and the customer. With a willingness to acquire extensive product knowledge and understand the software, you can excellently contribute to the discussion and collaboration with UX designers, translators, and other stakeholders.

  • A university degree in Technical Writing, IT, Business Studies, or a related subject or,          alternatively, a language-based university degree
  • Ideally first-language proficiency in English, or excellent written and spoken skills in English
  • The ability to express complex technical information in a clean, clear, and concise manner
  • Several years of working experience in the technical communication field
  • Experience working in DITA CCMS as author or as doc lead
  • The ability to work within tight deadlines, deliver on time, and ensure high quality 
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills 
  • Experience with tools such as Camtasia for creating media deliverables is a plus
  • Ability to guide other UAs
