About the team

The intern position, assigned to the Mid-Market Digital Sales Spanish team, with +20 talented young professionals, will give you the opportunity to enter the world of Software Sales as well as develop your professional skills within a transparent and collaborative regional organization. 

What you’ll do:

Position title: SAP iXp Intern – Sales & Demand Generation for Mid-Market 
Location: Barcelona
Expected start date July 1st or September 1st 2021 
Duration: 6 months

In this role, you’ll:

Without any doubt, the most challenging, changing, and innovative phase within a Sales Process is Demand Generation (DG). The first stages of the Sales Process are where you must understand Customer Business needs to be able to build a proper value proposition. But it’s not only about understanding and advising; it’s also about identifying the proper C-Levels and building the right message to be relevant for them… it’s the only way to get their time and attention.  


This role is relevant to help the team achieve the required level of Sales Pipeline Coverage, based on the execution of the following key responsibilities:

  • Territory segmentation: based on business needs, help to build clusters to address DG actions
  • C-Level Profiling: identify relevant stakeholders to address SAP Value Proposition
  • Value Proposition: aligned with Sales and Presales team, support creation of Value Proposition assets, identifying Pain Points and Business Benefits for customers / industries / segments
  • Business Content: collaborate in creation and sharing of relevant business content about SAP solutions and its impact on business, as well as Case Studies and Customer References
  • DG Actions Execution: execute actions within Demand Generation, making use of different channels and tools.  Actions include customer facing activities, by sending written messages and having phone calls.

  • Good communication skills, both written and oral. Customer facing skills
  • Initiative (bold people) and autonomy to execute assigned responsibilities
  • Collaborative and teamwork mindset
  • Strong learning capacities, both for Business Content understanding and IT Tools Adoption
  • Preferences for developing a career in Sales or Marketing areas
  • Language: fluent Spanish and advanced English
