As our commitment to UX grows we are looking for a product design director that will work in partnership with all of our extended global product teams to develop simple and intuitive user experiences for our customers and millions of users around the world.

 

 Responsibilities:

  • Your role will focus on unifying and simplifying the end-to-end user journey that traverses our product ecosystem.
  • This role will lead horizontally across the UX organization, helping to develop standards, patterns, training and resources that help all UX team members and extended delivery teams build better user experiences.
  • You’ll drive UX consistency through design systems and tools.  Leading the delivery and vision of our design system.  Thinking strategically about constraints such as alignment to corporate strategic initiatives and standards and legacy system needs.  Developing a holistic plan that defines centralized and federated contribution models to maximize production and quality.
  • You will enable design at scale by introducing best practices in “how we work” and advising our designers and agile teams in their adoption.
  • Through your practice, you will promote design thinking to inspire creativity and support a culture of user advocacy and data driven design.
  • You’ll mentor and influence design leads and product roadmaps, advocating for ways to improve our existing products and driving discovery and new product innovations.
  • You’ll partner with matrixed, geographically distributed teams working together through all stages of the product design and development lifecycle, including generative research, concepting and definition, prototyping, UI design and testing.  Emphasizing data-driven decision making, rapid learning and iterative approaches.
  • As an advocate for our users and our customers you’ll spend time with our users and develop a deep understanding of their needs and our opportunities.  You will develop a point of view on investments to advance our business and user experience.
  • Architect and execute strategies that translate user needs and business goals into an intuitive, effortless user experience. Your work will influence product strategy, priorities and help to create a clear vision of the current and future user experience.
  • Maintain an understanding of design/user experience trends and practices to help anticipate next-level needs for the team, how we work and our products.

 

Requirements:

  • Experience establishing, leading, and inspiring highly talented and productive user experience teams.  
  • Experience scaling teams and processes and creating a path for readiness to next level challenges
  • Demonstrated ability to drive designs that achieve business results.
  • Multi-product management / product ecosystem experience.  
  • Excellent communication skills.  Team player who seeks solutions to problems and can quickly translate ambiguity to clarity and action.
  • Passion for designing intuitive experiences and working with teams to build great products.  Understanding of disciplines of design and research.  
  • Experience with data driven design and metrics such as product satisfaction, usability efficiency and ease of use.
  • Minimum of ten years of experience in User Experience Design.  Experience with multiple light-weight, Lean UX methods.
