Job Overview: 


The Marketing Strategy & Analytics position with  Americas Small and Midsize Business (<1,000 employees) analyzes and models data to deliver marketing insights that provide data-driven decisions to optimize demand generation, market segmentation, and program execution. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills with extensive  marketing automation, CRM and reporting knowledge and experience, incredible analytical skills, and can interpret and communicate findings in a meaningful way for stakeholders.


This role supports US SMN marketers’ database, process, and technology initiatives, and is responsible for unlocking potential within our marketing programs for better resource allocation and understanding of what levers to pull, and when—adapting dynamically to business and market needs: What’s working and what’s not.


As a member of the US SMN Process & Insights team, the Marketing Strategist, is integral to the vision of the business unit and building a predictable, efficient, scalable growth engine. This role reports to the Director, Marketing Insights – US SMN Marketing.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Audit the new business marketing program framework, to identify any gaps in our data for measuring performance.
  • Develop framework for new business program target setting, resource allocation, and program timing.
  • Create KPI dashboards to identify progress to quarterly goals and highlight indicators that may be contributing to or hindering progress.
  • Perform quantitative and qualitative analyses of internal datasets from Salesforce and Marketo to help optimize marketing efforts throughout the customer lifecycle. This would include, but not be limited to, providing actionable insights to help drive prospect engagement, pipeline, and revenue.
  • Cross-channel analysis and impact across all marketing efforts (i.e. attribution modeling): provide analysis on tactics, activity, frequency, behaviors and recommendations for enhanced buying experience and channel efficiency and ROI.
  • Review and optimize lead scoring models.
  • Identify and present insights and recommendations to executive-level stakeholders.
  • Partner with business intelligence team to create and optimize standardized reports and dashboards to provide ongoing data and insight for internal stakeholders.
  • Partner with Process Improvement Manager to evaluate technology and process change impact.
  • Partner with Marketing Automation Manager to manage the new business database strategy including list segmentation, data cleanliness and integrity; defining a roadmap for data management improvements.
  • Partner with Marketing Operations to solution the operationalizing of key strategy initiatives. This will require a working knowledge of both Marketing Automation and CRM systems.



  • Education, Experience & Training required:
  • 5+ years of analytics experience in a sales and marketing environment.
  • Hands on experience in key business systems such as CRMs and marketing automation platforms a must.
  • Strong understanding of how data work flows push/update within CRM and marketing automation platforms.
  • Experience in business to business marketing of cloud or high technology products or services preferred.
  • Experience in customer journey analysis and demand funnel analysis.
  • Experience working with multiple and large datasets.
  • Experience with data normalization and development using SQL/ other query tools a plus.
  • Experience in statistical modeling, experiment design, and A/B testing. Strong data visualization intuition.
  • Thorough understanding of range of data manipulation and analysis techniques including experience with basic descriptive and inferential statistical techniques.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in business, computer science, or marketing.
  • Ability to pass a background check.

  • An understanding of selling cycles and product lifecycles and the pressure they place on the marketing organization to drive demand and revenue.

  • Experience with Marketing Operations and various MarTech systems.

  • Strong track record of cross-functional collaboration and ability to present complicated data findings in a clear and compelling manner.
