DEPARTMENT

The SAP Data Warehouse Cloud Solution Management team creates compelling positioning, messaging, and content to help buyers buy and sales sell. The team acts as market experts in the cloud data warehouse space influencing and supporting solution innovations, marketing strategies, integrated demand programs, and external company perception.

 

REPORTING

This role reports to the VP, SAP Data Warehouse Cloud and SAP Analytics Cloud for planning.

 

ROLE DESCRIPTION

The cloud data warehouse systems market is growing and evolving rapidly as organizations rely on technology to fuel digital transformation and gain insights from data. In this role as Solution Expert and Solution Owner for SAP Data Warehouse Cloud, your primary focus is to be a market, audience, and subject matter expert in the cloud multi-model database domain, creating compelling positioning & messaging, driving product innovation, and creating business plans and content targeting key buyers and users including Developers, Enterprise Architects, and C-level IT executives. This is an exciting opportunity to be a core part of the team driving continued growth for SAP’s next generation of cloud data warehouse capabilities which are already recognized as an industry leader.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

Key activities include:

  • Market and Business Situation - Understand the market economics, whitespace and opportunities, and business objectives in target markets.
  • Thought Leadership and Evangelism - Serve as a public voice to the market, and act as a solution evangelist.
  • Value Proposition - Create compelling and differentiated positioning, messaging, and personas for key buyer audiences.
  • Develop Core Assets and Offers - Develop customer facing assets and ensure respective rollout and availability to execution teams.
  • Customer Success - Recruit and create compelling customer success stories and submissions for customer awards (SAP, industry, and analyst).
  • Influencer/ Analyst Management - Perform certain activities to support strategy/interaction with market stakeholders such as Analyst Relations, Public Relations, and other communication channels (i.e. social media) to deliver thought leader messages into the market.
  • Product Innovation - Advocate for the customer and provide market insights to influence and drive product innovation.
  • Strategic Planning - Contribute to business planning based on corporate priorities and whitespace opportunities. Deliver recommendations to the field.
  • Demand Generation Planning - Contribute to Integrated Marketing Management on program build through messaging, positioning, content, offers and respective solution/industry expertise.

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in a technology or engineering field.
  • Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with data warehouse technology
  • Practical experience in cloud environments – understanding of cloud, hosted services, and SaaS/PaaS/DBaaS models.
  • Background successfully managing or leading people/teams in complex, cross-functional & matrix capacity including business planning, business case development & operational excellence.
  • Track record of building strong customer relationships.
  • Analytical mind-set, and innovative thinker with strong communication skills: verbal, written, and interpersonal
  • Exceptional organizational and writing skills; able to coordinate and manage multiple projects and collaborate in virtual teams.
