Job Title: Partner Technical Leads (SAP Ariba)

The SAP Ariba Business Network & Ecosystem team drives the partner channel for SAP Ariba. Part of our mission is to recruit an ecosystem of partners that build application extensions that connect to and enhance the world’s largest business network. As part of that mission, the SAP Ariba Extensions Partner team is seeking best-in-class talent to drive the technical recruitment and onboarding of these partner application extensions. These extensions will improve SAP Ariba’s ability to capture net new deals, will improve SAP Ariba’s renewal rates with existing customers, and will drive a profitable connectivity revenue stream, all while lowering SAP Ariba’s R&D costs.

 

This right resource in this role will be a high energy collaborator, willing to work with partners and SAP resources in a dynamic and exciting environment. This is a senior individual contributor position with strong growth potential in customer or partner-facing technical roles.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary partner-Facing technical contact for an identified set of partners for development of their SAP Ariba Extensions. This includes technical evaluation of partners’ ideas for extensions, providing development support to those partners, and providing technical evaluation and sign-off of completed extensions.
  • Provide second-level support to customers and partners for SAP Ariba extensions, augmenting the capabilities of SAP Ariba Support.
  • Provide ongoing technical support to assigned partners.
  • Interface with SAP Ariba P&I for partner extension issues and topics.
  • Provide partner input to the API roadmap planning process.
  • Work closely with internal team members in SAP Ariba and SAP FieldGlass, PartnerEdge, the SAP App Center to build and maintain key recruiting and partner management content, including technical materials and other items necessary to successfully deliver on individual and team success metrics.
  • Participate in team meetings, including regular status meetings and QBRs. Report recruiting progress regularly to team members and to exec management, sharing best practices with team members and offering guidance on process improvement where necessary.
  • Drive a set of projects that help increase team capacity, improve team capability or otherwise expand the ability of the team to drive success across the SAP Ariba / SAP FieldGlass partner ecosystems.
  • Provide clear, concise oral and written communication to all levels of SAP Ariba and other SAP organizations 
  • Participate in key external events (e.g., Ariba Live).
  • All other duties as assigned. 

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Past roles in SAP in partner or customer-facing technical development.
  • Exceptional English written and verbal communication skills required.
  • Strong technical understanding of the Ariba product set with a high degree of technical depth in one of the following areas of SAP Ariba and a broad understanding of all: Upstream, Downstream, Network or CIG / ERP integration.
  • Past software experience in the following areas including Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Sourcing/Contracts, Finance/AP, or ERP.
  • Demonstrated experience with debugging API implementations.
  • Exceptional presentation and customer / partner management skills.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skill.
  • Ability to build relationships and quickly develop trust with C-Level executives including CFO, CPO and CEO required
  • Highly professional written and oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a large matrixed environment.
  • The position allows qualified candidates to live near an SAP office anywhere in the United States. 

 

Basic Minimum Qualifications

  • Computer Science or related degree
  • Minimum 7 or more years of high-tech experience with a majority focused on technical development
