What you’ll do:

We are looking for a talented, team-oriented, innovative, and results-driven (Senior) Solution Specialist (f/m/d), driven by the desire to further SAP’s goals for sustainability and with specific expertise in climate action, carbon accounting and sustainability management, working in SAP’s global Sustainability Marketing and Solutions team. The candidate will work in a cross-functional organization that values trust, respect and diversity and will lead product and partner strategy around climate and carbon accounting while being a strong influencer across SAP and in the market. Key responsibilities include: 

Expectations: 

  • Develop, align, and support the creation of SAP’s zero emissions and climate action product strategy, including product roadmap, roll out, vision, and prioritization of topics such as carbon networks, product carbon footprint, scope 3, climate-related financial disclosures, etc. 
  • Align with broader product roadmap, strategy, vision, and priorities aspiring to a world with zero emissions, zero waste, and zero inequality across climate, circular economy, and social sustainability topics, bringing deep expertise around climate and carbon accounting. 
  • Drive alignment with market-making partners, non-governmental organizations, leading global research, and advisory firms, including market-making partners around climate action such as WRI, WBCSD, WEF, BCG, McKinsey, etc. 
  • Contribute to a cohesive, collaborative Marketing and Solution Management team with a unified mission, standard methodology, and high standards for the world class product organization. 
  • Coordinate all relevant units (Development, Customer Success, Engineering, Technology, etc.) with regards to the SAP Sustainability strategy, planning, and roadmap. 
  • Ensure that SAP solutions deliver the best possible experience for our customers and drive adoption in the market. 

     

What you bring:
 

  • Visionary leader able to articulate SAP’s sustainability strategy externally in an appealing and exciting way, needs to talk the business language and perfectly articulate the value of SAP’s sustainability product portfolio and business. 
  • Proven successful track record as Sustainability, Environment, Climate, and Carbon Accounting thought leader with deep subject-matter expertise. 
  • Ability to grasp key value drivers of the customer, anticipate user expectations, technology developments, as well as future market trends. 
  • Entrepreneurial DNA with hands-on and can-do attitude, highly collaborative, empathetic, while not shying away from driving tough changes if required, able to quickly establish credibility and trust in the organization. 
  • Customer-first approach to design experience is highly desired. 
  • Comfortable in customer interaction at the most senior levels, strong presence, influencing skills, strong customer and partner engagement are key. 
  • International track record and can effectively relate to multicultural teams and customers. 
  • Master’s degree in environmental sciences/policy and 3+ year experience in areas of climate change, environmental regulatory compliance, corporate voluntary sustainability commitments, science-based targets, and industry-specific benchmarking and goal setting.
