The Demand Management Executive (DME) position plays a critical role in the sales process with the main focus to generate new qualified pipeline through a variety of channels like digital, video, social media, e-mail and phone calls. The DME uncovers new business opportunities by identifying cross and upselling opportunities in close collaboration with SAP CX Sales Executives, managing and executing follow-up activities (e.g. outbound initiatives) and working closely with marketing on inbound activities.

 

The role

Responsibility for the growth of the SAP CX business within Switzerland:

  • Qualify, nurture and develop opportunities for sales
  • Create, build and qualify pipeline for assigned accounts in direct collaboration with the customer and SAP CX Account Executive
  • Interact actively with prospects and customers to identify prioritized customer needs
  • Drive proactive outbound call activities into net new contacts
  • Identify white spaces by customer/industry analysis
  • Execute and manage follow-up activities to position the adequate SAP CX solution
  • Define coverage strategy and an action plan in alignment with the account team
  • Hand over qualified opportunities to the SAP CX Account Executive
  • Provide pipeline forecast and ensure forecast and pipeline accuracy
  • Establish trusted advisor relationships across lines of business that will provide ongoing, accurate account information and future opportunities
  • Conduct high-level conversations with C-Levels
  • Achieve a monthly pipeline target

 

Role requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in business or IT-related discipline
  • Proven (Inside) Sales or Business Development ability and drive
  • Ability to articulate the SAP CX value proposition clearly in an industry context
  • Ability to work independently with a strong drive for results
  • Strong customer focus and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of the Commerce / CRM market
  • Strong facility with teamwork and an ability to learn and adapt quickly
  • Ability to serve as a trusted advisor to customers
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, with emphasis on phone, email, and online communications
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • High level of energy, drive, enthusiasm, initiative, commitment and professionalism
  • Ability to understand customer needs
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in business development and/or sales
  • Strong knowledge of cold call and outbound activities
  • Successful experience in the IT industry
  • Knowledge of the structure and needs of small and medium sized businesses in Germany
  • Fluency in English and German required, French optional
