The Regional CoE for Maintenance Europe, as part of the Regional Controlling (RCO) Europe team, is responsible to actively manage the P&L for SAP’s maintenance business including maintenance revenue for 3 important SAP regions EMEA North, EMEA South and MEE as well as cost of support. The team is in charge of the implementation and optimization of planning models as well as forecast and actual analyses covering all market units within the regional scope. As of 2019 the team will support the analysis of regional Cloud Subscription Revenue for EMEA North and EMEA South. To successfully manage this new task and to further strengthen our support for the business we are looking for a Controller.


Supporting the Cloud Subscription Revenue for HEC and SAP Cloud Other LOBs on all controlling aspects like budget, forecast and actual analysis

  • Work closely with the Cloud Controller for EMEA North and EMEA South
  • Coordinate the conceptual enhancement of current controlling models and processes around Cloud Subscription Revenue e.g. Cloud Satellite, Waterfall model
  • Responsible for forecasting the Cloud Subscription Revenue for EMEA North and EMEA South working closely with the global Cloud CoEs, LOB Controlling and Cloud business leaders
  • Communicate proactively with key business stakeholders especially top management in Controlling/Finance and Cloud Business; provide them with Analysis and Reporting
  • Midterm focus to be extended to Maintenance Controlling for a Market Unit and some cross-topics to be able to act as a stand-in
  • Act as a bridge between the CoE Maintenance Team and the Sales Controlling team

 Required skills

  • University’s degree or equivalent with emphasis on Finance/ Controlling
  • Very strong analytical skills, conceptual and structured thinking
  • Business level in English, additional languages are a plus
  • Background in Controlling
  • Background on Revenue Recognition or Accounting
  • Structured work style, i.e. good sense of prioritization, results and execution focused
  • Excellent skills in MS Office especially Excel and PowerPoint. Experience in other common analytics applications and SAP BW is a plus
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, presentation and writing skills to successfully interact with colleagues and stakeholders
  • Strong skills in root cause analysis in ERP systems as well diagnosing inefficiencies in business processes and initiating and completing corrective actions

 Preferred skills

  • Cloud Controlling experience mainly on Cloud bookings and Cloud Subscription Revenue
  • Knowledge on SAP system and processes would be of advantage
  • Proven ability to drive business transformation and execution against ambitious milestones


  • Minimum 3 years professional work experience with a strong focus on controlling, preferably with a Subscription Revenue model / Cloud Company background or current role in Finance with focus on Cloud business


Range for the annual base salary: 19.000 eur - 35.000 eur
