What you'll do
You will preferably bring your knowledge of any programming language into the team working in Actual Costing. Our solution is maintained in the ABAP, a language with similar OOP principles as Java or C#. Your responsibility will be covering all stages and tasks within the entire development cycle:

• Create software that makes a real impact in the daily life of our customers.
• Developing, refactoring and enhancing existing application parts to fulfill today’s test automation and architecture standards.
• Building broad and deep functional, technical, and business process knowledge in selected areas of the application, share your experience within the team and provide guidance to less experienced developers. 
• Become a trusted advisor to the product owner.
• Working in a highly self-motivated and reliable manner and applying agile software development principles.
• You communicate concepts, technical assets and procedures to the other members of the development team and take their feedback into account.

What you bring
We are looking for a passionate developer to work in an agile and diverse scrum team in the application area of S/4HANA Financial Accounting. You will apply methods of the lean development model and agile software engineering.

Required skills

• Programming skills in a language of your choice JAVA, JavaScript, Python, C, etc. Experience with object-oriented programming, common data structures and algorithms.
• General software engineering knowledge (version control, API design, database design, testing, code quality, …).
• Analytical skills to drive the root cause analysis for complex problems.
• Having a logical approach to problem solving and ability to respond to detailed queries.
• Ability to work in an international setup and with remote development teams and stakeholders.
• Competent in English (spoken and written).

Preferred skills

• University degree in computer science, mathematics, engineering, or related field.
• Knowledge in user interface development of web-based applications also will be regarded as a plus.
