You will be part of this great team in your role as (Associate) Support Engineer (f/m).

Our work is based on a holistic understanding of our customers’ business and a strong relationship to jointly improve IT & business operations and safeguard their implementation projects focusing on innovation topics. As every customer is unique, we provide individual high quality support to them, based on a MaxAttention Value Assurance delivery approach starting from the first Proof of Concept up to realization phase.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

In your job as (Associate) Support Engineer in the COE for Software Logistics you will have the chance to see the results of your efforts by directly contributing to the stability and reliability of the customer solutions. You can quickly grow in gaining expert knowledge on new technologies in the area of software upgrades and OS/DB migrations. Our team supports customer in planning, assessing, optimizing, executing and safeguarding their maintenance events in particular focused on S/4 HANA solutions.

We are looking for a good team player, as we act as a team at customer site. But you also need to have the ability to drill down into technical issues and solve complex and detailed problems.

As you will be working for customers across EMEA, very good English language skill is mandatory. Any other foreign language skill especially German is an advantage. To deliver our services to customers travel (also on short notice) is a significant part of the job.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

  • You have a University degree in Mathematics, Information Technology, Engineering or Natural Sciences
  • You have strong analytical and logical skills
  • You enjoy working in an international team
  • You have very good communication skills
  • You enjoy facing and tackling new challenges in different roles on a regular basis
  • You are interested in very technical IT topics like software updates, performance analysis, databases, hardware layouts/components, networks
  • You have very good English and German skills (spoken and written)
  • You are willing to travel worldwide on a regular basis also on short notice
  • You have European Union citizenship

WORK EXPERIENCE

  • You have some experience with SAP ABAP and JAVA based Netweaver systems
  • You have experience with RDBMS databases like MSSQL, MAXDB, Oracle or DB2
  • You have some experience with SAP HANA
  • You have experience with Linux, Unix
  • You have proven during your studies that your focus is in very technical IT topics
  • You have programming skills in at least one language e.g. (ABAP, JAVA, C, C++, SQL or similar)
