Senior User Assistance Developer for SAP Globalization Services

What we offer

Our company culture is focused on helping our employees enable innovation by building breakthroughs together. How? We focus every day on building the foundation for tomorrow and creating a workplace that embraces differences, values flexibility, and is aligned to our purpose-driven and future-focused work. We offer a highly collaborative, caring team environment with a strong focus on learning and development, recognition for your individual contributions, and a variety of benefit options for you to choose from. Apply now!

We are seeking an experienced English-speaking User Assistance Developer (f/m/d) (technical writer) to join our international software-development team in Budapest, Hungary, which localises different SAP solutions for use in different countries. For this position, we are looking for someone who will create the documentation for our Payroll solutions for different countries.

You will work closely with the product owner, software developers, product management experts, and support engineers, working with them to understand the business processes and how the software covers them. You will then, together with the user assistance architect, develop the user assistance content (in English) that tells our customers how to implement, configure and run our software. In addition, you will review UIs for usability, and research and define terminology. Depending on your profile and interests, you may also design the UIs yourself.

As well as conventional documentation, our team is increasingly looking at complementary forms of content, such as videos and graphics, and applying analytics to understand how our content is being used and improving it accordingly. We work closely with colleagues from support, too, to reduce the number of customer incidents through better UA content. We would, over time, ask you to incorporate more and more of these activities into your work.

  • University degree in technical communication, English, or business
  • 4–5 years’ professional experience in technical writing
  • The abilities to think holistically about users’ needs with regard to the software and the user assistance content, and distil information from many (sometimes conflicting) sources into one set of clear instructions
  • English native speaker (or near native-speaker level)
  • Hungarian is an advantage, as is knowledge of Payroll

As well as this, you must be able to work to tight deadlines and organise your time well. You must be able to plan your work and communicate your progress to your stakeholders.

We are looking for someone with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
