SAP Academy for Sales: Account Executive

The SAP Academy for Sales is a world-class training program that develops our next generation sales force by delivering an energizing and inspiring experience within a globally diverse environment. For 2021, the dynamic eight-month program builds a foundation for a successful career at SAP. The program facilitates multi-dimensional, experiential learning with a focus on digital transformation, global intelligence, human skills, business and technology acumen, solution/industry knowledge, and strategy/tools/process.

 

During the program, you will receive onboarding in your local market, innovative classroom-style learning delivered by a full-time faculty combined with on-the-job training and mentoring by Senior Account Executives in the field. Upon successful program completion, you will move into a direct customer-facing sales role in your market and continue to receive mentoring and coaching support to accelerate your growth.

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE

 

  • Successful completion of a Bachelor or Masters’ degree.
  • 2-3 years’ work experience with a proven record of customer facing sales success and direct quota-carrying experience.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills including fluency in English and local language.
  • Strong Business Acumen including demonstrated knowledge of business process and/or industries.

 

Upon selection into the sales academy, you will be aligned to a specific market unit or specific solution in license sales or aligned to Services Sales based on the needs of the business. Locations may include most major SAP office locations, including but not limited to NYC; Newtown Square, PA; Atlanta; Chicago; Palo Alto; San Ramon; Dallas and/or Houston.

*During the extraordinary time of the COVID-19 pandemic, current temporary SAP guidance requires all employees to work from their homes.  If, as of the intended May 2021 start date of the 2021 program, SAP’s work from home guidance is still in effect, participation in the program will be on a virtual basis from your current home address until further SAP guidance is provided.  However, in ordinary circumstances, a portion of the program requires travel to SAP’s San Ramon, CA office.  If SAP’s COVID-19 work from home guidance concludes, we intend to conduct a portion of the program in San Ramon, CA and travel therefore would be required in order to continue in the program. You will be provided with up to 4-weeks’ notice.  If you are unable for any reason to travel to San Ramon, CA once notified of the in-person program intent, your participation in the program may be discontinued and your associated employment ended, and thereafter SAP will have no further obligation to you.

 

*If you satisfactorily complete the requirements of the SAP Academy Program in accordance with established SAP Academy performance criteria, SAP intends to place you in a defined position.

 

General information: It is mandatory for all USA/ Canada based hires to possess full time work authorization in their respective country of application, as there is no visa sponsorship for the positions that are permanently based in the USA/Canada.
