SAP is seeking a Solution Advisor with expertise in Configure, Price, Quote (CPQ) solutions.  The Solution Advisor should possess advanced level knowledge of guided selling, product configuration, multi-factor pricing, price negotiation, discounting/approvals, and document/proposal generation.  Understanding of quoting, configuration, and billing of products and services for key industries including high-tech, discrete and professional services is ideal.

 

In this role, the Solution Advisor will be asked to learn SAP CPQ as part of the Quote to Cash offering to help position the intelligent enterprise and showcase the value of SAP S/4 HANA Cloud.  The primary role of the Solution Advisor is as follows:

 

  • Compose and deliver superior customer presentations covering SAP and partner software solutions to prospective customers. Presentations must articulate value, differentiate SAP, and leave a strong and positive impression with the audience which can include senior company executives. 
    • Preparation includes the personalization of materials to ensure the delivery of a simple and compelling customer presentation, both on-site and virtually.
  • In advance of a demonstration or key presentation, conduct discovery sessions with representatives from the prospective customer to build relationships with the customer and understand their unique needs.
  • Demonstrate deep knowledge of SAP solutions and appropriate industries to maintain credibility with prospective customers. Provide proof points with relevant customer stories.
  • Support RFI & RFP completion in support of customer proposals.
  • Provide post-sale support as required to ensure a smooth transition from pre-sale to post-sale in support of successful customer adoption and retention.
  • Lead as a Solution Captain when opportunities require solutions across multiple lines of business to support a successful customer presentation or demonstration.
  • Effectively leverage support teams to ensure success (Industry Value Engineer, Solution Experience, Product Management). 
  • Support one-to-many sales and marketing events both on-site and virtually.
  • Collaborate effectively with the sales team to identify whitespace opportunities.
  • Participate in demo scenario design and planning and assist in the configuration as needed.
  • Support product roadmap discussions, solution testing, and training.

 

Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in CPQ operations
  • 5+ years of experience in Sales & Service operations
  • Expert knowledge/expertise on end-to-end processes/solutions for Quote to Cash
  • 3-5 years of presales experience preferred
  • 3-5 years of implementation experience preferred
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills English: proficient
  • Business level local language: expert

 

Education:

  • Bachelor equivalent: minimum requirement
  • Master equivalent: preferred MBA
  • Certified Treasury Professional / Ph.D.: optional
