What you’ll do:

We are searching for a VMware Subject Matter Specialist (f/m/d) to administrate, maintain and improve a large-scale VMware Cloud Foundation and VMware Cloud Director infrastructure. 
You will support troubleshooting and root cause analysis in a 3rd level support role. You will be accountable for delivery outcomes of assigned milestones in sub-projects and work independently within a given area of responsibility. The collaboration within local and global distributed teams as well as the coordination of external service providers to ensure the rock-solid and smooth operation of the compute infrastructure are part of your daily activities. You will continuously improve, optimize and standardize our operational delivery services and processes to fulfill KPI targets.


What you bring:
 

• Fundamental experience with VMware vCF (vSphere, vCloud Director, NSX-T, …)
• Hands-on experience with incident management, problem management and root cause analysis as well as change management
• Ability to work effectively in international and virtual teams
• Bachelor/Master degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or Engineering or comparable qualification 
• Excellent communication (fluent in English)
• 1-3 years of working experience in a corporate environment
• Familiarity with datacenter operations
• Experience in Monitoring and Logging Solutions like vRops, LogInsight is a plus
• VMware and ITIL certifications would be a plus
• Basic development skills (like Rest API, Python, Ansible, Terraform, OpenStack)

The Internal Cloud Platforms team (INTCP) within SAP Global Cloud Services (GCS) is responsible for running and improving VMware based environments on SAPs internal cloud platform (Converged Cloud) to provide services to SAP Learning and Development units.
