As an Expert DevOps Engineer, you will be leading the team responsible for the wholistic end-to-end technical operations of SAP Commerce Cloud solutions. Your responsibility will focus on the reliability, stability, extensibility, supportability and security for the whole lifecycle of thousands of e-Commerce sites our customers have deployed on SAP Commerce Cloud platform. You will work collaboratively with customers, partners, product engineering teams, and product support teams around the globe, ensuring high availability and performance of customers’ e-Commerce sites and the cloud platform on a round-the-clock basis. You will be expected to assist the team manager and or act as team leader with supervision and coordination responsibilities when required.


•    Translate requirements and ideas to design, build, secure and support services, tools through automation using any modern scripting languages like python.
•    Develop and maintain automated pipelines in Jenkins (or alike) for complex business and operational scenarios.
•    Ensuring a sustainable high quality of services for customer e-Commerce sites though proactive monitoring, planning and automation initiatives.
•    Troubleshooting and orientating resolutions to complex technical problems across multiple tiers.
•    Planning, reviewing and executing continuous system changes and improvements
•    Provide technical leadership and mentorship across the group to build a DevOps culture and adoption of best practices.
•    Resolution for complex production issues as they arise and translating the learnings from such incidents into long term solutions. 


Your Qualifications:
•    5+ years direct experience in a similar role with cloud-oriented mentality.
•    Extensive experience with large-scale cloud-base application deployments across high availability cloud (public and/or private) infrastructure.
•    Highly skilled in CI/CD tools (e.g. Chef, Puppet, Ansible, Jenkins, Rundeck) and scripting (e.g. Python, Shell).
•    Linux guru (Debian, CentOS, or RedHat).
•    Proven experience with supporting, building new services and capabilities in one or more cloud environments like Azure, Google Cloud, AWS.
•    Highly customer-focused attitude, with natural ability to engage with customers and manage stakeholders.
•    Ability to work with minimal supervision, an absolute team player and comfortable making decisions.

•    Experience and solid understanding of RDBMS like SQL Server, HANA, Oracle will be considered a big advantage. 
•    VMWare stack for private cloud: Hypervisor, NSX and vCenter will be an advantage.
•    Azure public cloud solutions.
•    Understanding of JVM optimization, tuning and debugging.
•    Application performance tuning and APM tools such as Dynatrace.
