The Global Deal Support Incubation CoE is an international team of business and commercial professionals that operate Global Deal Desks for new and hyper growth businesses including OEM, Callidus and  Concur. The team provides support for structuring and transacting compliant, competitive deals including providing  direct and/or indirect expertise on topics including, but not limited to  pricing, revenue recognition, contracts, legal, risk management, approvals/authorizations, etc. This team is also responsible for the design, set up and scalable deployment of Deal Desk organizations to support newly-acquired solutions as well as new commercial models resulting from launches and/or changes in GTM commercial constructs such as OEM.


The Centre of Expertise (CoE) for OEM is responsible for Deal Support within OEM channel. The team ensures compliance with rules of our Delegation of Authority (DoA), challenges the business models of feasibility and consistency and provides business partnering for our sales teams. The team also manages all queries and tasks related to existing software license and maintenance contracts and business implications of specific deal structures.   The position has a
specific focus on supporting OEM business from a revenue recognition/accounting, business reporting and process perspective. SAP’s OEM Partner Program offers embedded reporting, high value analytics and dashboard functionality for the partner software solutions.




  • Support OEM COE team regarding the standards on Deal Approval, Contracting, Pricing topics and provide information when requested,
  • Support the team to ensure Approval process is completed timely and appropriately in according to DoA,
  • Support Contract Drafting and Approval Compliance according with Corporate guidelines and Management policies as well as basic legal requirements, Support OEM COE team to Revise, Analyze and Control Partner’s historical bookings in order to preview/ predict the potential pitfalls and issues for every particular business case, 
  • Researching, documenting, training and providing guidance on revenue recognition and other accounting issues related to OEM. Working in cross functional teams to structure new business models and contemplated transactions in the light of the expected revenue accounting. Communicate and ensure enforcement of revenue accounting requirements in new OEM business models and contemplated transactions,
  • Maintaining SAP’s revenue recognition guidelines in conjunction with CFR for changes or updates due to new business models; reviewing new technical accounting and reporting requirements, identifying their impact on the SAP group and assisting to implement the rules,
  • Ease the way of deal approval process for the SAP Account Executives by leading through and explaining the process steps,
  • Ability and experience with working in a global matrix organization
  • Engage in proactive and positive interaction with the external auditors and internal groups (e.g. Sales, Legal,Pricing, Cash Collections, O2I, Finance)
  • Support the implementation and rollout of GFA requirements for simplified, streamlined, compliant Commercial policies, processes, procedures, and supporting infrastructure required to provide effective ONE Service Deal Support to the field.




  • 7 years total experience in finance role with 3-5 years’ experience in Commercial Deal Support(e.g. contracting, order management, pricing, accounting)
  • Proven experience on process improvements or implementations 
  • Good knowledge on SAP-Systems and OEM business processes is an asset




  • BS Degree; financial designation preferred
  • SAP sales support experience and demonstrated business partnering skills including ;providing practical guidance in the areas of revenue recognition, pricing, VSOE, and contracts
  • Strong organizational and communication skills; assertive: ability to balance multiple projects in a fast paced and rapidly changing environment and ability to support complex transactions under pressure
  • Ability to concisely communicate and work in a team the supports multiple subsidiaries and geographic regions globally.
  • Proficiency in utilizing commercial quoting, contracting and financial systems
  • Thorough understanding of IFRS accounting rules
  • Proven ability to lead and build strong relationships at every level of the organization and to motivate and influence individuals beyond his/her direct field of control
  • Ability to continuously improve cross-functional processes and commercial setup in large organizations
  • Dedication to customer/organization success.
  • Very good English language skills: German speaking a plus but not essential
