About the team:

Partner Ecosystem Success (PES) is responsible for SAP’s Ecosystem of +22,000 partner businesses. The SAP Ecosystem is a fundamental differentiator and more important than ever before for the SAP strategy with a vibrant ecosystem operating across +140 countries who deliver value to our customers and reach new markets with their innovation and expertise. SAP has over 440,000 customers in 180 countries worldwide, with over 80% of customers accounting for Small to Medium Enterprises (SME’s).  Our ecosystem serves as an extension of SAP’s development, sales and delivery team and plays an integral role in the delivery of the Intelligent Enterprise Roadmap to our customers.


The Chief Operating and Transformation Officer unit is responsible for the Next-Generation Partnering Strategy (NGP) ensuring that SAP teams are equipped to transform SAP’s ecosystem in support of the evolving needs of SAP customers and Partners. SAP Next-Generation Partnering is a multi-year transformative movement in which SAP will roll-out initiatives, programs, resources and magnify our focus on the ecosystem to deliver customer success and value driven outcomes.


This is a great opportunity to work as part of a new, dynamic team. During the current climate you will be working virtually, however in H2 you may be required to work either in the Galway or Dublin office.  You will be connecting and collaborating with global and regional teams within PES and the wider SAP network developing excellent skills working as part of a multi-cultural environment.



What you’ll do: We are currently recruiting for enthusiastic and driven candidates covering a variety of roles within our team including Data Management, Information Systems & Finance, “The ideal candidate(s) would be primarily focused in one area but would be expected to work cross-topic when necessary”


Position Titles: SAP PES iXp Interns within the COO & Transformation Office – Interns will be set across teams in the COO & Transformation office with different Projects

Location: Galway / Dublin (working in a Hybrid Model, virtually & in office once on confirmation from SAP on guidelines)

Expected start date: September 2022


In this role, you’ll assist in the following activities:

Partner Demand Activation Team

  • As part of the Partner GTM and Demand Management organization, you will work with the Partner Demand Activation team to support the various GTM and Pipeline Generation Programs designed to create significant partner sourced cloud pipeline at scale. You will be assigned various tasks and activities to help us track, measure, and analyze the performance of programs such as Race2Revenue and Cloud Accelerator Program on a global scale while helping us identify and implement improvements throughout the program.


  • The role will be based in Ireland with the opportunity to work with teams around the globe. The Partner Demand Activation team has members located in the Netherlands, France, Germany, South Africa, Canada and North America to name a few locations, all with significant experience in SAP. The high performing team is focused on constant improvement and attention to adding value to our partners who are entrusted by their customers to be SAP subject matter experts. Our team believes in the ecosystem as being the growth driver for SAP.


Main tasks and responsibilities include:

  • Tracking and measuring to help prepare quarterly executive presentations
  • Analyze performance on quarter by quarter, year by year, region by region, and/or solution by solution basis to identify any strengths, weaknesses or trends that can be used to improve the program
  • Use your analytical capabilities to create and define new performance metrics that provides further detail into partner performance
  • Evaluate current business development practices and suggest improvements to enhance partner pipeline performance
  • Maintain and continuously update Learning Management System (Litmos), SharePoint, and any other applications used by the team
  • Maintain and continuously update various databases containing partner info, opportunities, deals, and sales plays
  • Design, develop, and maintain assets, presentations, and marketing materials to communicate to internal and external audiences

Work Experience, Education AND Qualifications:

You must be a current student for the duration of the internship to be considered. 


  • To apply for an internship, you must be a student currently enrolled in an academic institution majoring in Business/Finance/Marketing/IT/Digital Design
  • Proficient knowledge of English language essential.
  • Second language an advantage
  • Experience in working within teams of varying sizes and abilities through university or workplace
  • Strong interest in Technology, Innovation, Data/Analytics and Digital Communications
