A Product Owner’s ultimate mission is to build a product that’s valuable for our customers and partners, that’s delightful to use and that’s viable for our business, in line with SAP Signavio’s product vision and product and engineering strategies.

As Lead Product Owner, you do so by taking care of one or more complex product areas, all while supporting and helping more junior POs grow by acting as a role model for them.

Our team members are self-organized within their teams, working on independent projects or closely with Product Leads, developers and UX designers. We value your thoughts and ideas and will give you the freedom to push and implement them!

What you will do:



  • Be the fundamental pillar of an empowered product team together with the Tech Lead and a Designer
  • Work with VP Product, Product Leads, Chief Product Owner and other relevant stakeholders to identify the next opportunities and problem spaces to focus on 
  • Contribute to our overall product strategy in collaboration with Product Leads, break it down into high-level delivery milestones, EPICs and user stories and lead product strategy execution for your product area 
  • Own and manage the product backlog for your product area, at all levels of granularity, prioritize it by understanding customers’ and internal stakeholders’ issues, pain points and needs.
  • Coordinate and enable developers and designers to work with your user stories and align on technical implementation
  • Understand and share our overall product vision and strategy with the team and ensure alignment and sense-making
  • Contribute to defining team objectives and define and monitor product success metrics and KPIs for your product area
  • Guide agile ceremonies, including refinements, plannings and review sessions
  • Be a sparring partner of the Agile Coach and the People Lead, who will also be the go-to person for guidance on development and progression

Would be great if you have:


  • In-depth experience working as a Product Owner or Product Manager within agile software development teams and proven goal-oriented mindset
  • Very good application of B2B software product ownership and product management practices (for example discovery, validation, backlog management)
  • Thorough ability to drive cross-team and cross-product initiatives, identify interdependencies and ensure coordination
  • Analytical skills, structured and data-driven working approach
  • Very good stakeholder management skills, including an excellent ability in negotiating and managing expectations on timelines and scope
  • A proactive attitude, comfortable with aligning with all types of stakeholders 
  • Experience in taking responsibility, making decisions and maintaining high levels of collaboration in a dynamic environment and mentoring team members
  • Basic understanding of any of the following: data and process mining, process analysis or intelligence
