ABOUT ROLE

 

We are looking for a university student to join our team of cloud engineers focused on building a platform for product development teams in SAP Commerce Cloud. We are responsible for provisioning and maintaining AWS-based infrastructure and Kubernetes clusters using modern open-source tooling. Our clusters are running cloud-native components, such as Istio, Prometheus and Grafana. SAP Commerce Cloud is one of the most valued e-commerce solutions on the planet Earth.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

The key responsibilities of this role are as follows:

 

  • Working as a member of a Scrum team
  • Collaborating with other team members to understand technical and infrastructure requirements
  • Provisioning and maintaining Amazon Web Services infrastructure
  • Operating Kubernetes clusters running cloud-native open-source applications
  • Automating repetitive processes with scripts and continuous delivery tooling
  • Continuous self-development

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

An ideal candidate for this role will have the following qualifications:

 

  • One of the pre-requisits is a current enrollment at the University
  • Basic knowledge of distributed systems architecture
  • Practical knowledge of a modern programming language
  • Basic  understanding of cloud computing platforms
  • Familiarity with the infrastructure-as-a-code concept
  • Fluency in English
  • Knowledge about Kubernetes would be a plus
