We are looking for multiple specialists to support the development of a new cloud-native product.

SAP  provides organizations with the foundation, framework and business tools to create  scalable solutions based on modern cloud technologies. Our coders choose what languages and frameworks they need to produce the world’s leading business solutions, including Node.js, Golang, Kubernetes, and more. We also actively encourage and fund Certifications, Meetups, Hackathons, Dojos and   anything else we can think of to ensure that our coders are at the cutting edge of technology.

 

POSITION SUMMARY 

You will become a member of a product development scrum team working on the open source solution Kyma. You will support your colleagues in implementation of tasks from the team backlog. You will participate in team meetings, such as planning, retrospective, or daily stand-ups. As you still will be a student, your working hours will be flexible. Although, we count on you working 20 hours per week.

At the same time you will get an opportunity to develop professionally, and gain experience in delivering high-quality software. We offer you access to training resources available in SAP company and daily support of your team mates.

Responsibilities

The key responsibilities of a Student Technical Writer are: 

  • Creating technical documentation in cooperation with a team of developers and with the assistance of full-time TW mentors
  • Working in an Agile project environment
  • Working with other TWs to continuously improve and develop the documentation of the product
  • Working in an open-source project which puts emphasis on transparency, communication, and collaboration

Required skills

  • Preferred field(s) of study: English philology, computer science with strong English knowledge or equivalent
  • Abstract thinking and ability to understand complex technical concepts
  • Ability to quickly adapt to changing technologies, tools, etc. 
  • Good communication skills and fluent English

Preferred skills

  • Familiar with Markdown, HTML, source code reading
