The Role 

As a Senior Architect, you will provide architecture related consultation, risk assessment and mitigation measures from a solution design perspective in the areas of Finance and Controlling.  

You will be expected to deliver out of your team’s execution backlog and be responsible for committing to sprint goals and delivery. You will also be expected to stay up-to-date with new developments and technologies around your product. 

The role requires you to possess solid solution and software architecture skills with a good understanding of the business processes. You will set up the development guidelines for the developers on the team and guide them with their development tasks with focus on delivering robust and scalable solutions in keeping with the architecture guidelines followed in IES. 

It is expected that you have experience solutioning in the area of SAP FICO and can deliver high quality, efficient, maintainable, well-documented backend and front end code. 

In summary it is expected that you apply your solution and technical expertise, to deliver high quality results and support our internal customers in the successful adoption and use of  SAP Finance and Controlling applications. 

 

Role Requirements & Work Experience 

• 3 years of work experience in an agile team (Scrum or Kanban) with a good understanding of Agile mindset, values and ways of working 

•  7-10 years architecture and advanced development skill in ABAP in the areas of SAP FICO a must 

• Experience in frontend programming languages like SAPUI5/CSS3/JavaScript and backend programming languages like Python, Java nice to have 

• Strong written and oral communication skill in English required. German language skill a plus 

• Open to new ideas and technologies, creative and willing to learn from others  

• Self-motivated, proactive, team player, result-oriented & creative 

• Experience working with remote, cross-cultural teams 

• Bachelor/Masters in Computer science, Finance or related field preferred
