ROLE DESCRIPTION:
The SAP NS2 BTP Solution Management Expert is responsible for the solution management program for SAP BTP at SAP NS2. This includes leading the solution evolution as a member of the Product Strategy team and supporting the greater SAP NS2 sales account strategy for SAP’s foundational technology platform. This includes leading efforts to adopt new services, ensure parity with commercial services, and new capabilities like AI.
The BTP Solution Management Expert collaborates with the SAP and SAP NS2 sales and pre-sales teams, partners, marketing, customer success, operations, architecture, and engineering to deliver solutions for our customers. The primary role of the Solution Management Expert is to help develop and deliver the strategy for BTP services across the portfolio process which includes product intake, rollout, content creation, and sales support. This involves understanding customer needs and corporate strategy to drive changes in the offering, commercializing innovation, designing presentations and white papers, and contributing to the sales strategies. The Solution Management Expert collaborates with the SAP global product / solution management to plan and execute business development strategies.
This is a fast-paced environment and a nimble, results-oriented team who is looking for someone that is detail oriented and brings a positive attitude, ready to embrace the opportunity to work on high-profile projects. If candidate lives within 40 mile radius of an NS2 office, expectation will be that they are in office 1-2 days a week.
Portfolio Management
- Bringing innovation to the forefront for our customers and account teams. This includes leading efforts to deliver the new BTP innovations coming from SAP, understanding how they are built, deployed, and maintained.
- Defining the roadmap for solution availability for our customers across multiple security enclaves.
- Collaborate with SAP service owners to ensure that SAP NS2 customers’ requirements are met.
- Maintain positive relationships with stakeholders through expertise on SAP solutions and Regulated Industry knowledge.
- Compose and deliver sales presentations covering the SAP BTP portfolio and new innovations being released to the market that articulate the sales message, differentiate SAP commercial and SAP NS2 deployments, and leave a strong and positive impression on audiences.
- Support sales with SAP NS2 messaging and offerings, including our security model.
- Effectively present to stakeholders “remotely” using virtual technologies and in person.
- Effectively collaborate with teams who are there to support Solution Managers’ success (PMO, partners, marketing, contracts, and product management / service owners).
Demand Generation:
- Support one-to-many sales and marketing events both on-site and remotely.
- Collaborate with partners and field sales on enablement to drive demand.
Operational Activities:
- Review and update proposal text, technical blueprint documents, and addendum language supporting the SAP BTP offering.
- Review and update product offering descriptions, commercialization updates and any major changes to existing cloud offerings to supporting documents.
- Develop pricing and revenue models to ensure margin achievement.
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATION:
- Bachelor equivalent: minimum requirement
- 10+ years of presales / consulting / or architect
- 2-3 years of experience with BTP
- Base-level knowledge of SAP and partner software solutions
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to present to large and small groups at the executive level
- Excellent Microsoft application (PowerPoint, Word, Excel) skills
- Willing to take responsibility and to learn with a “Get-it-done” attitude, detail-oriented and highly organized to multitask
- Goal-focused, team player with the ability to work in a cross-functional, an environment that changes
- Experience or exposure in Public Sector business preferred
- Experience in sales, sales processes, product strategy or commercialization preferred

Compensation Range Transparency: SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is 159900 - 271900(USD) USD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
