Key Areas of Responsibility and Tasks

Seeking conscientious individual who has a strong desire to learn and contribute in a fast paced, growing environment.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Assist networking team troubleshoot connectivity issues within the branch offices and data center.
  • Document and execute activities regarding installation of networking components.
  • Document and inventory existing networking components.
  • Standardization of network configuration and vendor specific operating systems.
  • Adheres to standards and procedures set forth within the IT network department.
  • Troubleshoot end user wireless connectivity, information systems accessibility and availability and develop processes and solutions.
  • Basic analytical, problem solving skills.
  • Assist other team members with ongoing network security initiatives.

 

Preferred Skills:

  • Basic communication and presentation skills with the ability to communicate appropriately with colleagues and other functional teams. Good oral and written communication skills in English. Escalates/communicates issues when necessary.
  • A proven track record as a team player and ability to work independently
  • Familiarity with networking equipment such as routers and firewalls.
  • Exposure to Linux operating system
  • Exposure to network monitoring tools.
  • Basic understanding of core networking concepts such as subnetting and routing.
  • Basic understanding of role-based access controls.
  • Basic knowledge of cloud providers such as AWS and Microsoft Azure
  • Understanding of virtualization concepts
  • Exposure to scripting language, such as Bash or Python.

 

Education Requirements

  • Information Technology, Computer Science or other related field working towards a college degree or a recent college graduate

 

Mobility

  • 0-10% Travel
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. unassisted
  • Ability to hold and manipulate small tools
