Do you have a passion for storytelling? Can you turn complex and technical topics into personable and easy-to-understand stories? Do you know your way around Oxford commas, em dashes and semicolons? If any of these questions resonate, we’d like to talk with you about joining our team as a copywriter.

 

As a member of the Corporate Marketing Team, you will write and edit copy for a variety of projects. You will have the opportunity to work closely with engineering, marketing, and public relations teams to brainstorm ideas, create concepts, and develop messaging.

 

Bottom line: we are seeking an experienced copywriter to help improve the effectiveness of our digital marketing, online presence, and overall content.

You will work with a team of marketers to help generate digital demand and improve the quality of our website’s content. You will be responsible for writing both compelling blog posts and marketing copy.

 

You should have experience writing and copy editing a variety of different types of content (e.g. web pages, marketing emails, landing pages, e-books, and articles) and a solid understanding of the digital content publishing process.

 

You should have a sharp eye for detail (no grammar or punctuation error ever gets past you), be able to meet deadlines (and be flexible when they change) and have a willingness to contribute new and creative ideas for our content marketing strategy.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with internal teams to participate in all stages of the creative process, from brainstorming to conceptual development.
  • Continually raise the bar on creativity, writing fresh copy that connects with varied audiences to drive awareness and action.
  • Help develop and implement our corporate voice, style, and characteristics for our growing company, products, and brands.
  • Provide expert advice on style guidelines and brand voice to ensure consistency in messaging across our channels and teams.
  • Produce well-written content that is SEO friendly and optimized for conversion.
  • Research and understand our products, solutions, and target audiences.
  • Conduct interviews with subject matter experts to build compelling content for use in campaigns, events, blogs, podcasts, videos, and more.
  • Produce written content in a variety of formats: including web and interactive content, blogs, explainer video scripts, thought and leadership pieces.
  • Ensure written materials are clear, concise, and persuasive.
  • Present copy concepts and final deliverables to teams as well as post content online in conjunction with web and PR teams.
  • Juggle multiple assignments and work in a high-pressure environment.
  • Help communicate creative ideas in presentations.

 

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience developing engaging, effective messages and content
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, English, or a related field.
  • Passion for writing with an excellent portfolio of work (e.g. compelling copy, landing pages, and marketing campaigns).
  • Excellent writing and editing skills with demonstrated experience in conceptual writing in marketing or advertising, Web, product, brand messaging, and promotional copy.
  • Experience with SEO copywriting best practices.
  • Experience with social media, content marketing, product marketing.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines under pressure.
  • Strong presentation and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working cross-functionally, with a fast-paced team, high-volume workloads, and short turnaround times.
  • Ability to take initiative, own projects, and demonstrate good judgment when working with team members, partners, and client contacts.
