SAP NS2 Service Account Manager – Premium Engagements-National

Purpose and Objectives

The Service Account Manager (SAM) – Premium Engagements, is an active participant in the application software and services sales cycle at SAP NS2 as a member of the SAP Virtual Account Team. Responsibilities include active participation or lead in any of the following: strategy sessions, value-based Premium Engagement portfolio presentations or demonstrations, and after-sale Premium Engagement services scoping and positioning.


Expectations and Required Tasks

  • Ability to demonstrate and present the value of the SAP Maintenance portfolio to current and potential customers through specific case studies, usage scenarios and/or customer experiences in context of quantified value (time, resources, currency, or business impact)
  • The SAM possesses advanced knowledge of the Premium Engagement portfolio and service components (MaxAttention (MaxSecure), ActiveAttention, and Value Assurance) and can articulate roles, services, tools, and delivery methodologies in detail.
  • Ability to design and define Premium Engagements between SAP NS2 and customers/prospective customers with a focus on value delivery/realization as well as security.
  • The SAM is accountable for the development and delivery of the proposed risk mitigation plan and engagement framework, describing how Premium Engagement services address customer risk areas and drives validation within the NS2 Premium Engagement delivery team and SAP solutioning center.
  • Participate in sales cycles as a member of the virtual account team in support of the Secure Support and Premium Engagement sales strategy if required.
  • Articulates internally and externally the market view of the Premium Engagement portfolio against competitive offerings from competitive software vendors, third party maintenance providers and outsourced partners.
  • Provide professional services teams with ongoing support in the fulfillment of RFIs, RFP’s and works to ensure all software and professional deals have a Premium Engagement element attached to them.
  • Ability to build a strong working relationship with both the prospective customer and the SAP Virtual Account Team for ongoing support of the premium engagement portfolio value proposition.
  • Travel expected 30-60% 


Education and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree


Required Work Experience

  • Requires 5+ years of work experience managing or delivering SAP engineering, maintenance, or PE related services
  • Demonstrated experience in expert level customer-facing communication and presentation skills with executive level.
