Business Transformation Services (BTS) is the Digital Transformation strategic advisory arm of SAP’s Service & Support organization. We assist clients in achieving their Digital Transformation vision and Best-Run Business capability from their SAP and other IT investments. Our team draws on insights and experience from thousands of SAP customers. BTS works with customers at the program level and more broadly at the enterprise level to measure, mobilize, and deliver strategic business outcomes. Our vision is to drive business value and successful outcomes by helping our customers understand how best to leverage, implement and optimize SAP solutions for the industries in which they operate.

 

The BTS Transformation Consultant will lead innovation and digital transformation initiatives for SAP’s largest and most important customers.

 

The responsibilities of this role include creating strategic and tactical roadmaps that trace deployment of SAP digital solutions to quantifiable business value drivers and compelling business cases to help guide our customer’s strategic decision making activities as well as ensuring the realization of the identified value during the customer’s transformation journey.

 

The BTS Transformation Consultant is a key role in customer’s transformation to a digital enterprise and cloud strategy, requiring knowledge and understanding of the SAP solutions and platform. At a minimum, a solid understanding of SAP’s S4/HANA and industry solutions is required. 

 

The Transformation Consultant will provide comprehensive advice to our customers regarding long-term (Big Picture) and short-term (Quick-win) opportunities for their key strategic imperatives and will recommend innovations which anticipate the future direction of both business and IT stakeholders.

 

Excellent C-level facilitation and communication skills are essential as is the ability to effectively engage with executive stakeholders, partners and SAP account teams.  Other key competencies of this role include the ability to:

 

  • Facilitate collaborative business process and solution architecture discussions with our customer’s business and IT executives 
  • Develop 3-5 year strategic roadmaps for areas encompassing the evolution of enterprise business solution portfolios from current to future state.
  • Define and influence transition states toward joint business outcomes building on SAP solution value
  • Support business model innovation and business process re-design/optimization based customer’s business needs and enable by SAP’s solution and technology capabilities
  • Leverage industry and SAP best practice, reference architectures as well as model companies

 

Qualifications:

  • Proven innovation and business transformation skills/experience
  • Excellent C-level/business and IT executive communication skills
  • Proven S/4HANA,
  • 7-10 years Big 5 advisory services experience a big plus
  • 5-7 years of industry experience and consulting experience
  • Strong leadership skills - able to lead customer engagements at an executive level
  • Excellent interpersonal skills in areas such as teamwork, facilitation and negotiation
  • Strong written, verbal communication and presentation skills; ability to present and discuss strategies and technical information in a manner that establishes rapport, persuades others, and establishes understanding for technical and non-technical audiences
  • Ability to estimate the financial impact of various solution architecture alternatives
  • Relevant SAP and enterprise architecture certifications such as TOGAF, Open CA, IASA are valued
