What you’ll do


As General Business Sales Executive Channel Sales ERP, you will be responsible for building up a growth business around our mid-market ERP solutions portfolio (SAP Business One, SAP Business ByDesign & SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud) with a focus on S/4 HANA (Public) Cloud - within your assigned territory (Industry, ZIP-Code, etc.) in UKI. This encompasses all major areas relevant to manage a channel cloud business, in particular channel sales activities, pipeline development as well as strategic and operational partner development for your solution set - together with the Market Unit stakeholders, i.e., marketing, channel management, mid-market head, demand management, partner business management (PBMs), etc.  With your natural ability to build long-term relationships as well as your strong consultative skills, your responsibilities will extend to tasks such as:


Sales Excellence:

  • Annual Revenue – Achieve and exceed quota targets
  • Create and execute a holistic territory plan for your area of channel sales responsibility
  • Work closely with the mid-market sales executives/account executives (MSEs/AEs) and particularly channel partners on driving and closing deals to achieve assigned sales and revenue targets.
  • Ensure selling of business value and outcomes instead of technology features and functions by adopting a consultative sales approach to address customers’/prospects’ priorities and pain points.
  • Embody the OneSAP spirit by orchestrating internal resources and bringing together relevant teams to execute your territory plan and winning sales. 
  • Understand SAP’s competition and intelligently position our solutions.
  • Maintain CRM system with accurate customer and pipeline information to ensure forecast and pipeline accuracy in continuous alignment with local Sales management and partners.
  • Qualify and distribute leads through sales cycle.
  • Engage existing customers to expand references.


Channel Management:

  • Involve your channel partners in developing your territory plan and align with internal stakeholders, i.e., PBMs
  • Develop a long-term strategy relationship with our local partners, focusing on sales planning, execution, and business development
  • Analyze identify, and develop relationships with new “to be” recruited channel partners as well as to support portfolio expansion of existing partners towards S/4 HANA Cloud – plus overseeing their integration into our channel ecosystem
  • Working closely with channel management peers to ensure a profitable channel ecosystem


Marketing and demand generation:

  • Working collaboratively with local channel partners, marketing, and demand generation teams to develop and maintain a rolling 4-Quarter pipeline into the assigned territory
  • Leveraging SAP’s entire ERP solutions portfolio in sales pursuits in collaboration with Account Executives (AEs).
  • Supporting SAP-relevant promotions and events in your territory
  • Manage activities like marketing, lead Gen, influencers, lobbying, etc… under your industry expertise that you need to build and sell value proposition for our internal sales and Partners


What you bring


  • University degree, preferably in computer science, engineering, or management
  • Several Years of professional experience in channel business (ideally within an SAP ecosystem) or sales or demand generation
  • Knowledge of SME ERP and/or cloud solutions portfolio in the relevant market
  • Proven track record of sales target achievements (preferably in B2B software or IT services)
  • Experience in managing complex sales cycles from start to finish
  • Exceptional consultative selling and closing skills in a channel business context
  • Excellent forecasting and pipeline management
  • Good negotiation and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent analytics and presentation skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication
