About the team:

 

Part of a motivated and expert team, the eCommerce developer intern role will be to deliver a high quality product based on the SAP Commerce platform.

 

The Software Developer is primarily responsible for application software development based on Java for the Backend, and Angular for the Front End. You will collaborate closely with other developers, product owner and the QA team to fully understand the requirements and ensure high quality of solutions provided. You will actively be encouraged to develop as well as share your knowledge and expertise with the rest of the team, including developing and documenting best practices and standards. This is a technical role and requires strong technical attitude and willingness to learn new technologies.
 

What you’ll do:

 

Position Title: SAP iXp Intern - eCommerce Developer
Location: Montreal, Quebec
Expected start date to end date: January - August 2022

 

The key responsibilities of this role are the following:

  • Java Spring and/or Angular based software development
  • Developing unit and integration tests
  • Delivering high quality, well designed and well tested code
  • Continuous self-development
  • Sharing knowledge and expertise within the team

 

Who you are:

 

We’re looking for someone who takes initiative, perseveres, and stays curious. You like to work on meaningful innovative projects and are energized by lifelong learning. 

 

Ideal candidates for this role will have the following:   

  • Good verbal and written English
  • Currently enrolled in a Computer Science, Computer/Software Engineering or equivalent degree 
  • Experienced in Java and/or Angular
  • Ability to work as part of a self-organising team
  • Open mind for working with different technologies
  • Ability to work as part of a self-organising team

 

Any of the following would be an advantage:

  • Experience with JPA, JEE, Spring
  • Experience with Angular / HTML/CSS/JavaScript
  • Experience of web / mobile application development
  • Experience (or strong interest) in agile methods such as Scrum/XP
  • Experience of eCommerce projects
  • Experience with infrastructure and deployment processes
