Growth Market Account Executive, Intelligent Spend

 

As a Growth Market Account Executive, you will use your sales and business expertise to drive the growth of SAP Intelligent Spend solutions within our net-new territories. You will collaborate with product, engineering, and marketing to develop a meaningful perspective for prospects by identifying the value drivers and the solutions that solve their business challenges. As a result, you will bridge executive relationships, lead organizations through the digital transformation, and carry-out SAP’s mission to “Make the World Run Better and Improve People’s Lives.”

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS:

  • Qualify, build, and manage an accurate sales pipeline in your assigned territory. Maintain a high volume of activity, including outbound calls, emails, and social selling.
  • Listen attentively to customer needs; demonstrate empathy while overcoming objections.
  • Identify customers’ existing technology footprint, growth plans, and competitive landscape. 
  • Develop and nurture executive relationships by demonstrating professional knowledge of customer industries through a consultative selling approach. 
  • Follow a defined sales process to learn and understand the challenges that small and medium-sized businesses face and recommend solutions based on their needs.
  • Build strong working relationships with SAP colleagues to enable an integrated and efficient interaction between SAP Intelligent Spend and the customer.
  • Work closely with Product, Marketing, and Consulting teams to enhance Intelligent Spend value proposition and design tailored solutions. Organize a strategic account plan with clear timelines and actionable next steps for customers. 
  • Provide continued momentum and focus throughout short, medium, and long sales cycles.
  • Plan your business to meet and exceed quarterly targets through land and expand and seed the market strategies. 

WORK EXPERIENCE:

  • 3+ years of quota-carrying sales experience.
  • Cloud Sales (SaaS) experience preferred.
  • Track record of success and quota achievement.
  • Management of short and long sales cycles.
  • Experience as a “hunter” for new business.
  • Prior success in selling into Procurement and Finance teams is a plus.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATION / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 3 years of similar working experience.
  • Experience presenting to senior business leaders.
  • An enthusiastic “roll up your sleeves” mentality.
  • Ability to manage ambiguity and thrive in an unstructured, fast pace environment.
  • Ability to build strong collaborative working relationships with business partners.
  • Ability to provide a realistic outlook of your overall book of business to management.
  • Fluent French Language required
