The Digital Supply Chain (DSC) Planning Engineering teams in Montreal are part of the standard development for Supply Chain Management – Integrated Business Planning (SAP SCM – IBP). SAP Supply Chain Management (SAP SCM) enables collaboration, planning, execution and coordination of the entire supply network, empowering customers to adapt their supply chain processes to an ever-changing competitive environment.


The SAP SCM - IBP program will provide:

 

·         New innovative business applications which dramatically improve e.g. planning and forecasting processes based on SAP HANA delivered into the cloud

·         Real real-time analytics providing immediate insight and foster faster decision making using the latest SAP UI technologies e.g. FIORI

 

Within our team, we practice a trust-based working model. If you need to work flexibly from another location or at another time you can do so given your manager’s agreement.

 

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS


 As a Developer you will be working in a team of experienced colleagues. Your main responsibilities will be:

  • Analyze, evaluate and resolve customers' issues related to the implementation and operation of ABAP, but also Java and C++ based solution
  • Maintain assigned modules by creating fixes and developing new features when necessary
  • Document and update support documentation (continuous improvement)

·          Demonstrates full responsibility for accepted tasks and therefore demonstrates a high level of quality, speed, reliability and efficiency

·         Works closely together with other team members to ensure the team success. Enhances skills beyond own core functionality focus and works on other tasks for the benefit of the team

·         Has proficient overall product knowledge and shares domain expertise within team

·         Be a part of an Agile (SCRUM) development team located in Montreal

 

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

 

Required skills

·         Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Computer Science or Engineering plus relevant work experience

·         Ability to work well in a team as well as independently and have a positive self-motivated can-do attitude

·         Solid programming skills in Java, JavaScript

·         Working knowledge of data structures, algorithms and principles of OO design

·         Ability to analyze and solve issues in existing and new code

 

Preferred skills

·         Demonstrated strong understanding of SAP technologies including ABAP™, ABAP™ OO, SAP HANA

·         Working knowledge of Scrum, Test Driven Development, performance testing or data correctness/integrity testing

·         Knowledge of various technology standards (SOA, XML)

·         Experience with source control systems such as GIT, Gerrit, etc.

 

WORK EXPERIENCE

 

  2+ years of professional experience in software development

        Know-how of the SAP software development process is appreciated
