PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
As Cloud System Engineer you will be part of an international, globally distributed team supporting internal SAP Hybris departments. You make it possible that the systems are running smoothly and your efforts have direct impact on our Cloud-based environments.
With your years of experience as Cloud System Engineer, you will be able to make best use of new technologies keeping us ahead of the competition.
And, last but not least, because you are very good at building professional relationships you will be able to rapidly increase your network within SAP.  Our environment gives you the chance to connect with many teams locally as well as globally.
 
EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
We are looking for a talented and experienced individual to join our team and your future tasks will be the following:
•             Design, deployment and running our KVM based private cloud infrastructure
•             Technical architecture planning
•             Development of needed extensions to the existing cloud
•             Maintenance of entire system
•             Maintenance and operation of network infrastructure
                                                          
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS
Required skills

•             Graduation degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or Engineering or similar education
•             Expert knowledge of
              Linux Operating Systems (Debian, Ubuntu, RedHat, SuSe)
              Virtualized server management with KVM and OpenStack.
              Scripting languages including but not limited to: Python, Ansible
•             Knowledge of
              Multi-site applications, including disaster recovery and load-balancing (HA-Proxy)
              Monitoring tools

              Network: Cisco, Arista, HP and PaloAlto Networks
              Routing
              Switching
              TCP/IP
              SDN
              SDS
•             Willingness to take on big,complex projects with ability to prioritizing accordingly
•             Service-oriented mind-set, setting and organizational skills to provide solid service management
•             Attention to detail, process- and result-oriented attitude
•             Ability to work on own initiatives with minimal management supervision
•             Effective time management
•             Strong communication skills in English language (verbal and written)
 
Preferred skills
•             Good understanding of infrastructure-related topics like containerisation, virtualisation, provisioning
•             Good understanding of agile methodologies and DevOps approach
•             German language skills
 
WORK EXPERIENCE
•             5+ years of job-related, professional experience in a cloud environment
