Position Summary

SAP Marketing is seeking an executive communications professional, who will be responsible for driving the profile and reputation of the SAP CMO and SAP Marketing through an integrated communications plan. The focus will be on driving awareness through internal communication, public relations messages, events, and managing internal stakeholders at the C level through a targeted internal communications plan.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute an integrated communications plan for the Chief Marketing Officer and SAP Marketing to broaden awareness of programs and priorities and increase visibility across key stakeholder audiences
  • Position the SAP CMO at key external events
  • Own and drive social media activities for the CMO.
  • Drive stakeholder communications to senior executives within the company.
  • Evaluate and implement the best method to communicate a particular topic, looking for innovative techniques, creative ways to tell the story and the best way to engage with the stakeholders.
  • Ideate and write messaging, blogs, speeches, briefing materials and talking points.
  • Manage agency resources in support of broader communications plan.
  • Plan and execute quarterly all hands and open mic meetings.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Undergraduate degree with focus on communications or business
  • Graduate degree preferred
  • Extremely high comfort level interacting with executives/top management and stakeholders both internal and external.
  • Proven ability to provide communications guidance to executives on content, messaging, strategy and execution and influence their communications skills, reputation and style.
  • Proven ability to position a senior business leader through a targeted and measurable social media strategy.
  • Excellent writing, editing, speechwriting, social media and verbal communications skills
  • Ability to perform under pressure and flourish in a demanding, fast-paced environment.
  • Relationship builder with the talent to manage by influence
  • Proven ability to develop and execute a communications strategy
  • Business insight and acumen
  • Desire to learn about marketing and its impact on the business
  • Desire to constantly improve communications channels, approaches and formats.
  • Ability to deal professionally with confidential and sensitive topics

WORK EXPERIENCE

  • 5 years' experience in internal communications, PR, or executive communications
  • Experience working in a dynamic PR & communications agency
