PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

SAP Design has an exciting opportunity for an Experience Strategist, reporting into the Vice President, Experience Design. The role will be responsible for working with design leaders and product owners to develop and execute an end-to-end customer experience strategy for SAP products. The role will be responsible for leading customer research efforts, developing market insights, collaborating with the business to shape the experience strategy, and helping develop the strategy’s success metrics.

 

Those interested in this role should have an entrepreneurial mindset; be a creative problem solver; have a proven track record of successful collaboration with product teams on experience innovations and improvements; be comfortable working with and leading cross-functional teams; and have strong verbal and written skills.

 

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

The Experience Strategist has the following responsibilities:

  • Develop working relationships with product and design teams to gain an understanding of the product portfolio and existing end-to-end experience.
  • Lead proactive research efforts to uncover issues in the current customer experience, as well as to identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation.
  • Work with researchers and data analysts to shape insights into a narrative to explain where problems and opportunities in the experience are, and what collaborations across the business are needed to act.
  • Collaborate with product and design leaders, as well as leaders across the business (e.g. professional services and customer support) to create strategies to improve the end-to-end customer experience.
  • Help business leaders use measurement frameworks to develop success metrics to ensure experience improvements deliver value to SAP customers.
  • Work with data analysts to monitor success metrics and help design and product leaders continuously improve the experience.

 

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATION / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
  • 5+ years of experience in customer experience and/or user experience strategy development
  • Demonstrated experienced implementing customer experience strategies in a B2B environment
  • Experience with CX tools and techniques (e.g. customer journey mapping, service blueprints, persona development)
  • Excellent communications skills; fluency in English is required
  • Experience moderating CX/UX workshops (e.g. journey mapping, vision setting) is preferred
  • Strong data analysis and data storytelling skills is a plus
  • Strong project management skills
