The Global Center of Expertise (CoE) is a division of SAP Intelligent Delivery Group (IDG) delivery unit in the Customer Success board area. Our mission is to deliver world-class engineering services to strategically support SAP’s premium customers. As a CoE engineer, you will provide the finest service to SAP’s largest customers operating on the most complex SAP landscapes. They interact with individuals at every level of the customer’s organization, from subject matter experts to executives, to meet the customer’s needs.

The CoE Support Engineer is a challenging role that requires passionate individuals with the strongest technical expertise and excellent analytical and communication skills. In this role, you will be tasked with planning, architecting, prototyping, and safeguarding our customers’ SAP solutions. You will provide essential services and mission-critical support to help SAP customers realize their digital transformation agenda and ensure business continuity during solution implementations

 

Summary & Role Information:

As a Senior Expert your area of responsibility will include at least one of the following areas:

 

IT & Architecture Planning:

  • Landscape Architecture & Design (Instance strategy for Hybrid Cloud)
  • Software Change Management Strategies for Hybrid Cloud
  • Technical Architecture & Infrastructure for Hybrid Cloud
  • Performance/Optimization/Scalability/Capacity evaluation
  • Deliver/Lead planning services for MaxAttention customers on their journey to Intelligent Enterprise and S/4HANA
  • Software Change Management Strategies for On-Premise & SaaS Solutions in a hybrid cloud scenario
  • Interfaces and Integrations

 

Maintenance Optimization:

  • Lead and deliver Architecture planning, transition planning and roadmap services to customers for their large and complex landscapes
  • Lead and deliver services like Migration Planning, Upgrade Planning and Downtime Minimization Strategy Workshops
  • Lead and drive complex S/4HANA transition projects focusing on Business Downtime Optimization for SAP premium customers

 

Experience:     

Minimum 7+ year’s experience:

As a Senior Engineer we will look forward following technical skills:

  • Experience in understanding the results of Readiness Check and be able to explain the results to customers
  • Thorough understanding of the conversion to SAP S/4HANA, preparation activities that are involved in an S/4HANA Conversion
  • Expertise in any of the downtime minimization tools and technologies like doDMO, Downtime Optimized Conversion, NZDM, ZDO, Migrations using SUM/SWPM and NZDT
  • Experience and knowledge over NZDT methodology or project experience is an added advantage
  • Knowledge over the concepts Software Change Management and CI/CD using gCTS is an advantage

 

The candidate should possess following:

  • Proficient in meeting/workshop/training facilitation
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks or projects with changing priorities
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work cross-culturally
  • Strong collaborative and problem resolution skills with good leadership, diplomacy, decision making and analytical skills
  • Be a “roll up your sleeves” contributor and able to quickly adapt concepts and deliverables in a fast-paced environment
  • Customer-oriented with a strong focus on details and being organized.
  • Ability to coordinate global teams and multiple organizations in support of a common goal
  • Strong writing, decision making, communication, leadership, and meeting facilitation skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to earn trust and respect from colleagues and upper management
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative, lead by example, and achieve extraordinary results
