Purpose and Objective:  
SAP America, Inc. seeks an Expert Support Engineer at our Newtown Square, PA location to design and implement technical and application architecture.

 

Expectations and Tasks:
Define technical architecture, landscape and underlying infrastructure. Provide a detailed architecture blueprint as basis for the other work streams (like General Basis Support). For Architecture and Infrastructure. Drives the architecture discussion with customer across all workstreams of the project and aligns the technical or application aspects with other projects in the program. Defines an SAP-related IT strategy for customers (e.g. as part of a platform and roadmap service). Setup the project and production landscape - Setup the software logistics and introduce security aspects. Setup the migration landscape and migration tools. Implement, test, train applications and processes. Optimize business processes. Take care of the integration topics like user integration, system integration and process integration. Ensure data consistency, performance and exception management. Oversee a team of De-escalation Architects on critical situations. Lead SAP Technical escalations and key projects. Design and implement application lifecycle management - Integrate new business solutions or technical components into operation. 40% travel required.

 

Education and Qualifications/Skills and Competencies: 
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Physics, Information Systems or a related field of study and 7 years of experience required. The company will also accept a Master's degree and 5 years of experience.

 

Work Experience: 
Experience must involve 5 years in the following: Delivering Technical optimization services; Planning and Solving Technical Architecture and escalations from Infrastructure to technical layer; Deliver IBM LUW and Oracle Optimization services for SAP landscapes; Leading SAP Technical escalations and service delivery improvement; SAP migrations to HANA, Suite on HANA and S/4HANA implementations; Optimize ABAP Custom Code and define custom code governance strategy; Lead IT Planning Teams – Deliver sizing, technical architecture and business continuity planning services; Setup Solution Manager test management and business process documentation; and Service positioning and sales support; Execute SAP Landscape Maintenance tasks including Upgrades, updates, patches using ZDO, NZDT, Downtime Optimized Conversions; Experience must also include: HR management – Compensations, Development Plans, Strategy cascading, Hiring, recruiting, talent management; Setup SAP landscapes, including configuration, integration, and performance tuning. 40% travel required.
