The Regional Security Service Managment Lead, Americas will report to the Head of Global Security Enterprise Network and Systems (Seattle, WA) and will function under the direction of a matrix, including the Head of Regional Security for Americas.  

This role will be a key collaborator as well as a network operation lead responsible for managing the Global Physical Security physical infrastructure and network performance (as a service).  This includes managing numerous internal service providers, tracking and managing performance of our Global Physical Security infrastructure and network, as well as managing service disruptions to ensure a highly available physical or cloud infrastructure supporting SAP.  Responsibilities include all of SAP’s Americas locations, with coordination at a global level for policies, standards, and reporting expectations.

This individual will maintain the highest level of professionalism in all activities to represent the organization internally and externally, while serving as a trusted advisor to the Americas Regional Head of Global Physical Security and other members of the Global Leadership Team.

 

JOB DESCRIPTION:

A successful candidate for the Regional Security Service Management Lead, Americas will be able to achieve the following job duties:

  • Maintain internal and cross functional relationships with area of responsibility, assisting in office build outs and maintenance for Global Physical Security (Regional Security Operations Centers and localized data rooms for Global Physical Security video and Physical Access Control systems).
  • Work as part of the Global Physical Security Enterprise Technology Team (a centralized shared service team) to define and ensure compliance with networking and technology standards, as well as driving initiatives to align your area of responsibility toward these standards.
  • Assist in standing up IT Service Management (ITIL framework) standards and practices for change, release, event, incident, and problem management.   These standards along with other process improvements will help Global Physical Security provide a highly performing Global Physical Security service operation to SAP.
  • Ensure a high availability of Global Physical Security systems and relevant control processes/frameworks for tracking and management of these systems.
  • Record, track and manage inventory of Access Control, video capture and recording infrastructure devices/servers across all regional areas of responsibility, consult back providing guidance toward standards (naming standards, volume/scale of devices against head units, capacity management, etc.) and improved ways for maintaining this area.
  • Track and be held accountable for key SLA’s and performance obligations and metrics
  • Audit and risk management/remediation responsibilities as required.
  • Define Global Physical Security network monitoring thresholds and measurements, partner with appropriate departments to ensure network is monitored and managed appropriately.
  • Troubleshooting of server or core infrastructure connectivity / triage process / to drive toward high availability; provide insight including RCA (root cause assessment related to process, people or technology) and trouble triaging and driving solutions to mitigate future service disruptions.    
  • Act as a key liaison between Global Physical Security and regional SAP IT functions to measure, maintain, and improve service operations.
  • Participate in device evaluations and selection for NVR, video monitoring and access control devices as well as other innovative solutions to improve our services.
  • Act as a key point of contact for Americas Regional Head of Global Physical Security for infrastructure related needs, ensuring close alignment with global function (standards, definition, performance obligations).
  • Flexibility in performing as a ‘special-teams’ player, able to jump into special topics and projects on demand.   This may include demonstrating project management skills, ability to define and drive programs and bring clarity around complex topics, and to advise on topics in a fluid manner.
  • Participate alongside the heads of the global technology functions in supplier/vendor review processes and performance tracking, providing insight where appropriate.

 

COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:

  • Self-directed and independent thought leader.
  • Strong communication skills and willingness to partner with diverse global teams to develop world class physical security systems and networks.
  • Ability to engage with global teams on a recurring scheduled basis, this role may require early or late calls due to time zone differences.
  • Server admin/cloud and network admin experience a plus.
  • Background in project management and RFP processes, helping lead global initiatives.
  • Ability to work alongside a global remote workforce and to self-direct your own work.  Ability to manage your time and schedule accordingly and to work to update your leadership and seek input as required.
  • Manage relationships with global and regional senior management plus outside service providers and business partners as called upon.
  • Seek to drive design and operational excellence and quality assurance by providing best practices, problem solving, and guidance within their area of responsibility. 
  • Proficient in the entire Microsoft Office 365 suite including Sharepoint, Word, Excel and PowerPoint for use in managing and reporting on all projects.
  • Strong organizational skills required.

 

EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND CERTIFICATIONS:

  • 10-15 years’ experience in technology field, with at least 5 years’ experience in enterprise software design and implementation experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree (4-year) in technology or engineering fields.
  • Familiarity with SAP landscape and product offerings.
  • Preferred administration training or certifications with Microsoft Azure Cloud Solutions, AWS, or GCP
  • Background in Physical Security Systems (Video Surveillance and Access Control Systems)
  • Network and Azure cloud design experience (MCSE Core Infrastructure certification desired)
  • Genetec, cCure 9000 experience a plus
  • SIEM / PIEM experience, ITIL or ITSM related training or certifications are a must.
  • Project management trained or certified.
  • English language required; working proficiency in secondary or tertiary languages desirable.
