Purpose And Objectives

The High Tech Industry Practice Lead provides leadership in modernizing the salesforce and drives the execution of industry growth plans across the regions for the Intelligent Spend and Business Network Solution Area. This role is responsible for the syndication of industry-specific outcome-based selling approach by creating compelling industry-relevant value propositions and curating customer best practices.

 

The practice lead models a simple storytelling approach to help with accelerating sales cycles and increasing win rates and renewal rates. The practice lead’s primary charter is creating the ISBN high-tech community of practitioners internally and externally.  The Industry Value Chain Sales team is part of the SAP ISBN M&S organization, and its vision is to dominate strategic industries and become the indisputable cloud spend solution provider.

 

Duties And Responsibilities:

· Create an industry growth plan in collaboration with ISBN regional sales leaders and execute it to drive business performance improvement across regions

· Create the High Tech Industry Executive Think Tank community with renowned CPOs and Chief Supply Chain Officers to drive industry thought leadership and drive a movement to reinvent the industry  

· Support the regional think tank activities and connect them to create the global High Tech procurement community

· Build and foster the ISBN ambassadors from the High Tech Action tank community

- Capture outcomes from Think Tank and Action Tank member meetings and share the industry insights with both Customer Success and Product organizations

· Contribute to build a standardized innovative industry-specific outcome-based value propositions and competitive positioning for ISBN and be responsible for the High Tech industry messaging to drive the demand and revenue

· Plan and lead the High Tech industry circle internal community meeting and share best practices

· Advocate SAP ISBN’s industry best practices, industry-specific business processes, and outcomes to deliver industry-specific business content across the user groups in collaboration with CE&X teams

· Develop internal relationships with the High Tech industry experts across SAP and build a bridge between ISBN Customer Success, Product Engineering, and SAP Industries High Tech Industry advisor teams

 

Preferred Qualifications:

· Experience in Procurement or Supply chain as a practitioner in the High-Tech industry is preferred

· Past software sales experience in the following areas, including Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Sourcing/Contracts, Finance/AP, Services Procurement, ERP, and S4 Procurement preferred 

· Great networker and community builder with high emotional intelligence 

· Experience with C-Level executives, including Chief Procurement Officers and Chief Supply Chain Officers

· Exceptional presentation skills and written communication skills required

 

Minimum Qualifications:

· Minimum 15 or more years of successful software experience and/or procurement experience
