Job Title: IT Technology Senior Consultant

Location:  Newtown Square, PA

Purpose and Objective: 

SAP America, Inc. seeks an IT Technology Senior Consultant at our Newtown Square, PA location to gather and analyze facts, provide advanced level guidance and technical expertise on storage configuration best practices, and troubleshooting of complex software/hardware matters of significance pertaining to storage networks connectivity, block/file protocols, software bugs, system performance, new installations & critical migrations to meet business needs.

Expectations and Tasks:

Deliver outcomes of assigned projects. Work independently on topics while setting priorities having sole responsibility. Support complex issues in the area of cross-functional or cross-country projects. Take decisions/solutions to enhance essentially current and future design and strategy; Enhance complex systems/processes. Advanced technical, business, and project skills relevant for job. Communicate clear and conveying processes & policies in a way that others can understand. Advocate end user by having a deep understanding of end user needs, behaviors and usage patterns. Promote the role of User Experience, thorough understanding of contemporary user-centered design methodologies & practices and ability to integrate those into current and future development efforts. 20% travel required.

Education and Qualifications/Skills and Competencies:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or a related field and 6 years of experience required. Will also accept a Master's degree and 4 years of experience.

Work Experience:

  • Experience must require 4 years with the following: Supporting global storage infrastructure management activities; Incident analysis and providing root cause updates to management; Implementing and providing proactive monitoring/analysis to help prevent problems before they occur; Enterprise Storage hardware subsystems including EMC Storage, Netapp, & Hitachi storage - Symmetrix VMAX, VPLEX, VNX, EMC Unity, XtremIO, NetApp C-Mode & 7-Mode, EMC ISILON; Architecture design, Distributed systems, Infrastructure Migration, Deployment, and Lifecycle management; Designing networks or systems for high availability, security, manageability, and reliability using Cisco and Brocade switching solutions; Disaster recovery & Business continuity solutions: SRDF, VPLEX Metro, Snapshots, Clones, Mirrors, Snapmirror; Storage tools: EMC SRM, Netapp OCI, Unisphere, ActiveIQ, CMCNE; Automation scripting: Perl, Python & Ansible; Software Defined Storage solutions; Technical streams associated with Data Storage Virtualization, EMC, Netapp, Brocade, Cisco fibre channel Switches, Networking, Cyber Security, and Digital infrastructure stack to deliver third-level expert cloud storage operations support at a global scale; Planning and executing multi-site or global storage infrastructure; Re-platforming and Migration projects using Netapp 7-Mode Transition tool, EMC Open replicator; Proposing solution architectures and managing the deployment of cloud based distributed virtualized infrastructure solutions according to complex customer requirements and implementation best practices. 20% travel required.
