Contract Duration: 6 months
Contract Hours: 20 hours/week (Minimum)

Purpose & Objective of Position

To provide support to the GRF Americas Project Team by providing basic design, documentation development and organization, research and vendor coordination

Expectations & Tasks

Expectations are that the intern will work in the office part-time, 15-20 hours per week during normal business hours, preferably 1 full day and 1-2 other partial days. This is a 6-month position, which could possibly be extended another 6 months, and will be reporting to Michael Taney. Tasks will include test-fits of office spaces, update of CAD drawings, some selection and specification of FFE (furniture, finishes, equipment), occasional renderings, creation of various Word documents for presentations, vendor coordination, ordering of finishes, maintenance of library and other related tasks.

Skills / Competencies

Candidate should be proficient at AutoCAD as well as, SketchUp or other rendering software, Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint. They should have experience with office space planning, furniture and finish selection, general building codes and standards. They should also have strong interpersonal and communication skills. Knowledge of InDesign and Photoshop would be a plus.

Educational Requirements

  • Either have BS in or minimum third year student studying Interior Design or Architecture
  • Must have at least one year of AutoCAD training and experience, specifically for interior space planning
  • Must have taken at least two semesters of classes specific to Interior Design
  • Previous internship experience helpful


Requires candidates to currently be enrolled in a Bachelors, Masters, or MBA degree seeking program which is applicable to the position. Majors in Interior Design or Architecture required.
