Marketing Insights Specialist (Events Platform)

Location: USA Virtual

 

ROLE OVERVIEW

The Virtual Events Data & Insights works as part of the Marketing and Solution Operations and Insights team, designing the SAP events data strategy. This role will define standards and procedures to enrich customer data by leveraging events data and transform the data into insights to drive better customer experience and improve SAP decision-marking.

 

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

The Virtual Events Data & Insights Specialist will be involved in business decisions affecting the front-end user experience and translate these business decisions into requirements to the technology and insights teams. It will ensure information is harmonized across events platforms and automation platforms to answer the most frequent business question.  

 

RESPONSIBILITY:

  • Familiar with current and emerging digital platforms, especially events platforms, including best practices and trends; understand how these platforms work with major marketing automation systems and how to transform data into action.
  • Project manage the rollout of new events data platform, setup of new 3rd party vendors, and integration with automation platform (Marketo and SMC)
  • Project manage new insights for the SAP Events team, facilitating and collecting requirements for reporting and insights.
  • Connect Events and Marketing technology team on and Marketing insights teams to produce a cohesive data strategy for events.

 

Experience (Role Requirements)

  • Experience with events platform for physical and digital event experiences (e.g. RainFocus, WEG, On24, etc)
  • Experience with Marketing Automation Platform such as Marketo and SAP Marketing Cloud
  • Experience with Adobe Analytics
  • Knowledge of SAP systems and processes (CRM)
  • Project Management experience; work with business and technical stakeholders
  • Experience in developing insights, telling stories with data. Translate data into actionable insights for event operations as well as for sales and marketing operations
  • Knowledge of SAP reporting landscape is a plus
